In CS2, Case Hardened knives and skins are affected by their randomly assigned patterns when the item is dropped from a case. Some patterns will have more blue than others, and these are typically called Blue Gems. However, some will be mostly gold, avoiding the blue entirely. These are typically called Case Hardened Gold Gem patterns in CS2.
These Gold Gem patterns are extremely rare to find on these CS2 skins, and are in demand among a subsection of the game’s community. If you’re wondering what these are exactly, this CS2 Case Hardened Gold Gem patterns guide should have all the info you need to learn the ins and outs of them.

You might be a little more familiar with AK-47 Case Hardened Blue Gem patterns, which are some of the most expensive skins in the entire game. However, the CS2 AK also has four different Case Hardened Gold Gem patterns, which feature predominantly more yellow than any other. The 784 Gold Gem pattern is the definitive one here.

The three Bayonet Case Hardened Gold Gem patterns are extremely clean choices. Although 395 is the best one, you can get solid results with any of this trio.

You’ve only got two choices for Bowie Knife Case Hardened Gold Gem patterns: 113 or 599. Unfortunately, there is some visible blue on both, but these are the best you’re getting.

The Butterfly Knife Case Hardened is already one of the most in-demand knives in the entire game. But the Case Hardened Gold Gem patterns for this knife are two of a kind. There is some visible blue on the inspect animations for the 75 and 599 patterns, but during play, it won’t be noticeable.

The Classic Knife might feature one of the cleanest Gold Gem patterns overall with 943, although 527 is also valid. Not a hint of blue in sight.

The Falchion Knife Case Hardened Gold Gem patterns are best during gameplay rather than inspects, where they still have a ton of blue across the base.

It’s easy to forget the Five-SeveN Case Hardened even exists at times. That said, there’s only one Five-SeveN Case Hardened Gold Gem Pattern (691), and it’s a real beauty.

It’s just the one Flip Knife Case Hardened Gold Gem pattern. 731 gives you a super clean look with this one.

If you’re seeking the perfect Gut Knife Case Hardened Gold Gem pattern, then the 837 is your only option. There’s a tiny bit of blue next to the hilt, but it is by far the best option.

The Huntsman Knife is always a safe bet, and it’s no different with its two Case Hardened Gold Gem patterns: 41 and 759.

Considering the popularity of the Karambit, it’s a little disappointing how much blue its Case Hardened Gold Gem patterns have. For full gold coverage, you could be better with a Talon Knife here.

The Kukri Knife is the newest CS2 knife, but I adore its one Case Hardened Gold Gem pattern. Because the base of the knife is so massive, there are different shades of gold here, but the 956 pattern still manages to avoid any hint of blue. Perfect.

You’ll pay a pretty penny for any of the three M9 Bayonet Case Hardened Gold Gem patterns, and for good reason. Just look at it!

Much like the Five-SeveN, the MAC-10 Case Hardened Gold Gem patterns are one-and-done. 87 is the one you’re looking for.

Shadow Daggers aside, the Navaja Knife might be the least popular CS2 knife of all. That said, this particular Case Hardened Gold Gem is very slick, but you’ve only got the 36 pattern that qualifies.

The Nomad Knife isn’t the number one choice for a lot of players, but those seeking a perfect Gold Gem pattern shouldn’t overlook this one. Three to choose from here, 39 being the best.

The Paracord Knife Case Hardened Gold Gem patterns quite suit the rugged look of this knife. It’s rough and ready, and the 521 should be your first choice on this one.
Unfortunately, the unique nature of Shadow Daggers means that there are actually no Gold Gem patterns available for this knife – they all just have too much blue. Too bad.

The Skeleton Knife Case Hardened might be more popular as a Blue Gem, but don’t sleep on its Gold Gem patterns. The 914 and 943 look far more expensive than they really are, providing you get them in a good wear rating.

The Stiletto Knife is pretty underrated in general, and its two Gold Gem patterns are some of the coolest on this entire list. Spiky.

Pick your poison here – the Survival Knife Case Hardened has a solid pair of Gold Gem patterns, the better of the two being the 927. It’s a near-perfect play side, so it’s a great Gold Gem to add to your collection.

You’re almost spoiled for choice with Talon Knife Case Hardened Gold Gem patterns, with seven in existence. The play side of the 834 is commonly considered to be the best of the bunch, though, and the lighter handle of the knife is a great complement to the gold.

Finally, there’s just one Ursus Knife Case Hardened Gold Gem pattern: 425. It’s not my favorite CS2 knife, but at least those who like it have a Gold Gem option.
