










Apex Legends is back to LAN, as the Year 2 Split 2 Apex Legends Global Series Playoffs begin on April 29. The 40 best teams from around the globe have gathered in Stockholm, Sweden for the first LAN tournament in over two years. Here is everything you need to know to stay up to speed with the on-going event.
The ALGS Split 2 Playoffs kick off on April 29 at 1 AM PT / 10 AM CEST. Day one will be the Group Stage. The 40 teams will be split into four groups of 10 teams each. Each group will play each other in a six-game series for a total of 18 games per team, 36 games total.
The Bracket Stage takes place on April 30 at 2 AM PT / 11 AM CEST. The top 20 teams from day one will play in the Winners’ Bracket in a single six-game series. The top 10 teams from this match will move on to the Finals. After that, the bottom 20 teams from day one will play a 6-game series, with the bottom 10 finishers being eliminated. The top 10 from Losers’ Round 1 and bottom 10 from Winners’ will then play a final 6-game series to determine the last 10 teams that make the Finals.
The Finals will take place on May 1 at 7 AM PT / 4 PM CEST. The remaining 20 teams will face off in an uncapped series to determine the winner of Split 2. The format will change from a standard “highest points wins” format to a Match Point format for this stage. A team must reach 50 points to become Match Point Eligible. To win the tournament, a team must win a game while on or above Match Point. Subsequent placement will be ranked by total points.
