Rainbow Six Siege Year 11 Release Date is almost here. With the news last week that Year 11 is on the way, it’s time to look forward to a release date for the first season of 2026. Thankfully, we have all the information for Season 1.

Rainbow Six Siege Year 11 Release Date Confirmed for Season 1

Ubisoft announced that Year 11 will release on March 3rd, giving us just over a week from this post going live to prepare for the new patch. We had a huge info drop around the Year 11 Roadmap, and we’ve even had some hands-on time with the first season. But Year 11 Season 1 is nearly here, and while Solid Snake is the big fixture, there’s so much more being added.

Year 11 will release on March 3rd

For Season one of Year 11, we have a lot of content that will drop, and it won’t all drop in the same period, so let’s break down what we are expecting to drop in the first Season of Rainbow Six Siege X.

Here is what we expect in each of the four periods of the patch after the Rainbow Six Siege Year 11 release date:

Week 1, March 3rd

  • Major Seasonal features such as Solid Snake
  • Major Balancing Update
  • Ranked Map Rotation – 3 Modernised maps

Week 4, March 24th

  • Targeted Balance
  • In-game event, likely to be the Redacted event that will see the end of the Dual Front Final Event and 1v1 Arcade

Week 7, April 14th

  • Major Balancing Update
  • Ranked Map Rotation

Week 10, May 5th

  • Small balance pass
  • In-Game Event to end the season

We would normally get the new Legend division in Week 7; however, this is expected to skip Season 1. We also won’t get the long-awaited R6 Ranked 3.0 in Season 1; that will have to wait till Season 2.

The key thing that will drop in Season 1 is Solid Snake, and that’s very exciting. Solid Snake is the first major crossover character for Siege, with Sam Fisher from Ghost Recon being the first internal crossover between Siege and another game. As for Snake, he brings the first crossover with an external developer, and it’s a pretty good first attempt at bringing someone else into the game.

With Year 11 set to have at least one more Operator drop, we are then set for a Year 12 that will feature four. While we have no idea if such crossover events will continue, we suspect if Solid Snake is popular, we might see similar Operator drops in future if they make sense. We’ll have to see how Snake looks once the Rainbow Six Siege Year 11 release date rolls around.
