Chiefs Esports Club were one win away from securing a spot at the Six Invitational 2026 in Paris just a few weeks ago. Now, with just a few weeks to go before their final chance to make it to Paris via the Asia Pacific LCQ, The Chiefs have announced they’ve parted ways with the entire Rainbow Six Siege roster.
Now, the roster, with a few changes, will battle for their spot in Paris, while The Chiefs, at least for now, appear to be pulling out of Rainbow Six for good. With the roster just one win away from qualification, it’s a bittersweet end to things for the Australian roster.
Jack “Jigsaw” Gillies, who will remain with the team, took to X to express what was next for the group: “What a run, did way more than what we thought would be possible with all the arising issues, and I’m happy for that. Unfortunately, Jai “Quiz” Riddle-Browning and Mitchell “Sageon” Sage, most likely will not be able to play due to unforeseen circumstances. Regardless, we’re LFO and cooking for LCQ.”
It’s time to say goodbye.
You brought us back into Siege and the results came instantly, you always gave it everything you had and played with passion.
Thank you for everything, go on and continue being great!#WeAreChiefs🛡️ | #CHFWIN🛡️ pic.twitter.com/LpiKvTzrm9

As a result, the new orgless side will now compete with two substitutes at the upcoming LCQ event. Andreas “Kyro” Kyriacou, and Nathaniel “Naate” Williams will join the roster, with Sage and Quiz remaining with the roster as “they’re still an essential part of the team.” Naate will join as a player, having previously acted as the coach of the roster. He has subbed in often for the team, last playing in THE GAUNTLET just a month ago.
Now, the former Chiefs Esports Club roster will compete in the Asia Pacific Last Chance Qualifier. The event kicks off on January 16th, and will feature CAG Osaka, Daystar, ENTER FORCE.36, CoCapsR6, Team Anios, All Gamers, and Four Angry Men. While the former Chiefs side will enter looking for an organisation to represent them, a win here would certainly be a statement.
We’ll have a preview of the event live soon, with updated information based on the Chiefs’ decision to move away from Rainbow Six, plus full coverage of the LCQ’s from all over the Rainbow Six World.
