Coming in the Operation Tenfold Pursuit, Team Colour in Rainbow Six Siege X will be changeable, as Ubisoft looks to add more options for players to customise their experience.
During the reveal of Operation Tenfold Pursuit at the Munich Major, it was revealed that more colours are being added to teams. Previously, you could pick red, blue, and orange; however, with the final season of Year 10, that is all about to change.
Changing team colour in Rainbow Six Siege X has been possible for some time, but highly limited, really just allowing you to swap red and blue or make one team orange.
In Year 10 Season 4, however, we will get new options with purple, green, and yellow being added, giving players much more variety in the options players will have. While this is added as a customisation option, it also has accessibility implications, as it allows players to make teams more readable.
The change is part of a wider push from Ubisoft to make the game more comfortable for more players. Clutter, especially during hectic gunfights, has always been a problem for many, so adding more visual clarity helps. These new colours will look to help resolve some of the issues players have without making changes to the core gameplay loop.

Not only can you make these changes to your team colours, but you’ll also be able to make these changes to many of the HUD options as well.
These options come in a few extra colours; however, a lighter blue, pink, and white are also available, though not for all. You can see the colour options above in the image from the Test Servers.
Changing team colour, HUD colours, and everything else is easily done via the accessibility options in-game.
We can change a number of options:
Each of these can be changed independently, allowing you to have each colour match or be different depending on your preference. For example, you can use a yellow team, purple enemy, white objective, and a bright blue optic. You can do what you like, and even save a few presets to change easily.
You can mix and match the colours as much as you want, but it’s worth playing around with them. If you want to make your Optic stand out, look to set your Optic Colour to something very different to the environment; a bright blue or green will do well here. Purple and yellow also work, but will clash with some other colours if mixed poorly. Avoid white for your optics.
To test it, pick three different maps to test and see how it looks. Chalet, Oregon, and Clubhouse would be good options to get good examples of the map colour palette.
The key to remember with any colour change to Rainbow Six Siege X is that the game has very “dull” colours, lots of browns, and blacks, so anything that works well against that will be good. In fairness to Ubisoft, any of the colours will work, and there’s a reason why they’ve not added a black optic.
These changes will go live with Operation Tenfold Pursuit on December 2nd, but we expect many more similar options to come in the near future and into Year 11.
