A new patch has arrived for MLBB, and fans are wondering which heroes are returning or joining the meta. Essentially, who are the top 5 MLBB heroes this time?

Top 5 MLBB Heroes to Join the Meta this Patch

The winners of the patch are the EXP Lane heroes, as the developers felt like they are lacking impact in the early and mid-to-late game. The ones hit with the nerf hammer were the fast-clearing junglers, who make an early impact in the game to snowball immediately.

The patch has also seen the formerly Chinese exclusive character join the game fully. With all these adjustments, here are Top 5 MLBB heroes we think will return and join the meta.

Top 5 MLBB Heroes

5) Rafaela

Surprisingly, Rafaela makes our list of the top 5 MLBB heroes due to 2 things: adjustments on heal reduction items and skills, as well as her new passive. There’s more utility as a healer support pick. Rafaela stands out, however, due to a special skill in her passive, where she can resurrect a fallen teammate during a team fight.

It requires her to channel the skill, but the fact that you can bring someone back from death immediately is crucial, especially when reviving a jungler. She might still be a pocket pick since it depends on the hero composition of the team.

4) Lapu-Lapu

As EXP Laners are buffed to make a difference earlier, Lapu-Lapu can definitely be on the list, as his kit allows him to go immediately to the backlines and try to disrupt the enemy’s formation. With his Ultimate’s skills being buffed, the hero is going to have an easier time surviving anything that is thrown at him.

His first skill while in Great Sword Stance now gives him crowd control immunity, except for suppression, which only 2 heroes have at the moment. His second skill is adjusted from 10% damage reduction per hero hit to 30% damage reduction upon hero hit + 8% per hero hit. Alongside these adjustments, he gets armor and magic armor to prolong him in team fights, making him hard to burst when he enters.

3) Yu Zhong

Another EXP laner by the name of Yu Zhong has been buffed making him one of the top 5 MLBB heroes in the meta once again. Yu Zhong’s kit allows him to enter and chase down enemy heroes from the backlines to create disruption, similar to Lapu-Lapu. The hero’s HP recovery from his passive is buffed for his lane and team fight sustainability. Aside from that, his ultimate, Black Dragon, is also buffed with more HP, giving him the adjustment of 600-1000 to 1000-2000 max HP. Now he’ll be able to last longer in team fights while searching for the artillery-based heroes further back.

2) Roger

The return of Roger was inevitable, as his clear speed and early team fight were his highlights for being a top pick before. With the buff of having a faster attack animation as well as reducing 2 seconds off his ultimate cooldown (Wolf Transformation/Restore Human Form), he can definitely group together for small skirmishes or join for early neutral objectives. His clear speed is also going to be faster as his base attack speed just got buffed, which makes him viable for jungle and gold lane. Another flex pick is added to the meta, further

1) Fredrinn

As the clear speed of junglers is nerfed, utility junglers are once again rising up. The number 1 utility jungler with damage is none other than Fredrinn. Fredrinn comes with everything from damage to control, as well as being tanky. There’s no significant change to his kit; it’s just that the nerfs to assassin heroes’ clear speed got nerfed, making him viable to catch up to their levels and contest neutral objectives.

Fredrinn is also a frontline that teams would want to have, especially doing the famous “lord dance” of holding down the lord to their side of the map. Utility junglers are back to contest damage junglers in important team fights for neutral objectives.

There are honorable mentions as well for heroes that are viable to the meta for the best MLBB teams in the world to pick. A couple of them are EXP Laners like Paquito and Esmeralda as damage types since utility junglers are coming back. Arlot, Ruby, Uranus, and Terizla might also come back to the meta with their buffs for higher sustainability and faster lane clear speed. All in all, they’re making a big difference in the EXP Lane, as most of them have been repetitive and have had lesser impact in the mid-to-late game.

This is still a speculation of who will be the top 5 MLBB heroes and what is to become the meta for this patch. We are going to see if all 5 heroes will be picked in the upcoming MSC 2025 at EWC in Riyadh for a first sneak peek at the pro play meta.
