The MSC 2025 Group Stage in the EWC has begun, and there are a lot of matches to watch out for this year.
With the Wildcard concluded, we know exactly which teams are facing which. These are our MSC Group Stage predictions on which 8 teams will move to the final phase of MSC.
MSC Group Stage Predictions
Among the sixteen participants in the tournament, the favorites to win the entire thing would be Team Liquid, the champions of MPL PH S15, with a good record for the regular season.
Following them close would be ONIC Philippines, the runner-up of MPL PH S15; ONIC Indonesia, the champion of MPL ID S15; and Selangor Red Giants OG Esports, the current defending champion of MSC 2024. These four teams have legends and world champions in their rosters, ready to add more accolades to their belts.

MSC Group Stage Predictions – Top 8
The ones to make it out of groups for Group A would definitely be Team Liquid and ONIC Indonesia, as they are the champions of the strongest regions in the world. Even if they would potentially face each other given the current bracketing, one of the two will advance to the Top 8, and the other can climb back up to get another slot for Group A.
The other two teams that could potentially get the remaining slots of Group A would be SRG.OG and Mythic Seal.
SRG.OG would be a no-brainer when selecting the next strongest team out of the eight teams listed in Group A. Although, Mythic Seal is a wildcard for the top contenders, as Myanmar is still considered to be a strong region. Their MWI 2025 representatives, the Terror Queens, got Top 3, which hyped up Myanmar fans to support the MSC representative more than ever.
As for Group B, we’re looking at both ONIC PH and RRQ Hoshi to make it out of the groups. They went a full 7 games in their respective regional Grand Finals against the champions of the Philippines and Indonesia.
Another favorite in Group B would be Team Spirit, with their constant 4th place finish in international events. Team Spirit has proven to constantly improve, making the skill gap closer to Southeast Asian teams. The team to get the last spot of Group B is difficult to determine, but our eyes are on DianFengYaoGuai. With a star jungler by the name of Super Kenn joining the roster.
The Chinese region has proven to have the potential to contest against the best teams in the world last year, which makes them our final pick for the prediction, given they have had 1 year to grow further.
MSC Group Stage Schedule
The MSC Group Stage starts on July 23, 2025, at 12:00 PM GMT+3, starting with Group A, while Group B will play on the next day. Be sure to not miss out on any of the games, as there will be a lot of contending teams to even upset the top teams in MLBB Esports this time.
