MLBB Sora Release Date, Abilities, and More

A new character is coming to Mobile Legends Bang Bang very soon, MLBB Sora. This is going to be a new fighter, filling out the role with some unique abilities. They’re coming as a role shifting character. With some interesting uses that could make a big difference to MLBB esports once they’re here.

MLBB Sora has some unique properties like allowing players to go down two separate paths. Being both an Assassin and a Tank, depending on how you want to play them. They’ve even got a particularly cool design, with some Gear 5 Luffy vibes. When exactly does MLBB Sora release and what can we expect when they do?

MLBB Sora – Abilities

One of the most exciting new heroes to come in a while is Sora. These are the abilities we’re expecting when they release:

Passive – Mystic Surge

The passive for the new hero is Mystic Surge. This gives a stack of Cloudstep whenever Sora damages an enemy or a summon. Once you get enough Stacks, you unlock Sora’s True Art. It comes in Thunder or Torrent. Thunder converts some of your extra HP into physical attack. Torrent does the opposite, converting attack into higher max HP. Essentially, it takes the hero down a different path, one is more of an assassin and the other is a tank.

Sundering Striker

The first skill for MLBB Sora is Sundering Striker. With this, Sora does physical damage, then followed up with a lunge. This second attack scales with max HP. It also lets you dash to position yourself afterward. The exact attack pattern is different depending on Thunder or Torrent, since you’ll need a different skill. It could be interesting to see how the best MLBB players handle Sora with abilities like these.

Windstride

The next of the MLBB Sora skills is Windstrike. With this, Sora pushes forward which deals physical damage. If you hit an enemy or make it to the end of this movement, Sora will slam the ground. This does extra damage depending on max HP. It also slows enemies in the area. Like the other, it has a different attack pattern for which direction you choose.

MLBB Sora Ultimate – Shifting Skies

The Ultimate for MLBB Sora is Shifting Skies. It attacks enemies and chooses your direction between Thunder and Torrent. If you go for Thunder, you’ll get better movement speed, become untargetable for a brief time and attack enemies close by. Whereas, Torrent pulls enemies close and deals damage.

When Does MLBB Sora Release?

Those are the key skills for the new character, but when exactly do they release? There isn’t an official wide release date, but they are available on the advanced server already. They’ll likely arrive at the end of the year. Normally, new heroes come every few months. Releasing at the end of 2025 would position MLBB Sora for before the start of a new season of MLBB esports too.
