Following the series against MKOI, which saw the Spanish team push them to play a full Bo3 series, we had a small window of time to chat with T1 Faker.

T1 Faker EWC Interview – the mystery is solved

Even though it was a really short interview due to time constraints, it’s always an honor to exchange words with the League of Legends GOAT. While I’m still waiting for the lifetime opportunity to chat with him on camera, seeing Faker in person and being able to interact with him is a special feeling.

Below is the transcript of the interview with Faker at the Esports World Cup quarterfinals. The questions and answers were translated from English to Korean.

After facing him here at EWC, what do you think of Jojopyun as a player?

Faker: I’ve played against Jojopyun before, but it had been a long time since our last match, so it was really fun to face him again. From today’s match, what stood out was how confidently and aggressively he played.

You always mentioned how you want to keep playing better and focus on your performance. How are you dealing with the expectations of always having to be at the top of your game?

Faker: Not really. Honestly, I don’t focus much on external expectations. I tend to reflect more on myself and how I’m doing personally, so I wouldn’t say I feel pressured.

There is a photo poster of you and Chovy here at EWC. Some fans think it was photoshopped. Was Chovy leaning onto you?

Faker: That photo was actually taken just a couple of days ago during a shoot with Chovy, so… nope — no Photoshop involved.
