LoL Patch 25.22 – What’s coming to the new patch?

While Worlds 2025 is been playing on Patch 25.20, the LoL playerbase has officially moved to the next update as the Patch 25.21 has been released on October 22.

The new patch came with some important gameplay changes, including number tweaks to the Doran starting item as well as several adjustments to champions across all roles, with most of them focusing on the jungle and bottom lane. While we wait for the bot lane meta to evolve, Riot Games has already unveiled the skins expected to come in the next update, including more Mecha Kingdom champions and a new Panda Pal Lux skin to celebreate the World championship final taking place in Chengdu.

At the current moment, however, there is only one Skarner change leaked. Check back in the next few days as we will be updating the latest planned changes.

What are the most impactful changes in Patch 25.22?

The major changes to the upcoming patch mainly come from the system buffs. The nerf to Phase Rush will be mainly impacting mid lane mages like Ryze and their ability to kite.

That said, the added movement speed from the shard and Nimbus Cloak could be helpful for champions like Hecarim, who have been struggling to find space in the current meta.

Among the champion changes, the nerfs are considered minor and won’t really make much of a difference in the overall champion priorities. Talon and LeBlanc will continue to be powerful in their respective roles and Akshan will still be oppressive in the mid lane, just not as much in the first few levels.

The most interesting buffs are Blitzcrank and Yone. The reduced cooldown on the support can be a big game changer since you usually don’t level up the ability until later in the game while getting 5 extra damage on every Q cast can bring Yone back in the mid lane meta. If the meta favors his return, we will see him pop up a lot more often.

New Skins

  • Mecha Kingdom Mordekaiser – 1820 RP
  • Mecha Kingdom Wukong – 1350 RP
  • Panda Pal Lux – 1350 RP
  • Machine Herald Viktor – 1350 RP

When will LoL Patch 25.22 be released?

According to the official patch schedule, the League of Legends Patch 25.22 will go live on November 5, 2025. After the patch released, there will be two more updates before the season ends.
