Swiss esports organization Team BDS has officially rebranded as Shifters, marking a new chapter for the team heading into 2026.
The announcement, which was unveiled through a video posted on X, saw the organization shift away from the pink-based color palette to a purple one and using a new logo.
According to the team, the new logo was designed to clearly evoke the name Shifters by focusing on the letter S, and making sure it had the “right balance between readability and aesthetics”.
Additionally, the other elements to be featured were the arrow shapes, conveying the idea of motion, direction, and transformation, as well as union, found in the center of the logo, with the arrows converging.

First reported by Swiss business magazine PME, the rebrand coincided with the team’s plan to move its headquarters to Geneva. The team is set to operate in a 730-square-metre space in Geneva’s Bel-Air district, and is expected to open before the end of the year.
Jocelyn Roux, Legal Director at the organisation, said the rebrand decision was made with the intention of strengthening its local roots in Switzerland. The report also revealed that the rebrand and the creation of the new visual identity were estimated to cost close to CHF300,000 (~€321,000).
The new branding comes after the organization appointed Alexandre Lopez as the new CEO of Team BDS earlier this year. The former CEO, Patrice Bailo de Spoelberch, was fired after making some controversial comments on Twitter at the end of 2024, which also led to the cancellation of a tournament hosted by the team at the time.
Previously working as the team’s Head of Strategy, Lopez became CEO in June and on top of opening the new headquarters in Geneva, Shifters are planning to launch nonprofit initiatives aimed at bringing gaming and esports into hospitals and underserved communities.

Additionally, the company wants to expand into esports for Swiss and European brands and bring forward philanthropic projects through its Play&Share association, installing gaming spaces in paediatric hospital wards.
Created in 2018, the newly formed Shifters is known for being the biggest and most successful Swiss esports team, with competing rosters across League of Legends and Rainbow Six Siege. The team is mainly known for its presence in the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) but also for having great success in Rocket League, becoming the second esports team to have won two RLCS world championships. That said, the team, while under the Team BDS branding, left the scene at the end of 2024.
