Riot Games has revealed the latest details about LEC Versus, the new kickoff tournament coming to the 2026 season, featuring the 10 LEC teams and the two tier-two teams.

LEC Versus unveils format, schedule, and ticket sales

LEC Versus kicks off on January 17

The new tournament will see, for the first time, two teams from the ERLs compete with the partner teams in the tier-one circuit.

LEC Versus will start in mid-January with a single round robin of best-of-one matches. Each game day will have six matches, with four weeks of action to determine the top eight teams for the playoff stage. Each match day, whether the round robin or playoffs, will start at 17:00 CET.

Just like most playoffs, the top eight teams will be placed in a double-elimination bracket. The first two rounds will be best-of-three, while the remaining series will all be best-of-five.

The winning team of the tournament will then represent EMEA at the first international tournament of the 2026 season, First Stand, which will take place in São Paulo, Brazil.

LEC Versus Tickets Pricing and Sale Date

The tickets for the first four weeks of the single round-robin will go on sale starting on December 17 at 18:00 CET. Each ticket will cost €15 and will be available for purchase on the official ticket website.

Playoff tickets will go on sale in two waves in January: the first one will be on January 5, featuring the Upper Bracket tickets, and the following ones starting on January 12.

HyperX joins as the latest partner

Riot Games also unveiled the latest partnership for the European competition, bringing in HyperX as the official peripherals partner, joining the likes of energy drink brand Red Bull, Kia, KitKat, and LG UltraGear, among others.
