EUphoria, the official League of Legends European Championship (LEC) podcast made by Riot Games, will no longer return for 2026.
Since its debut in 2018, the LEC podcast has helped shape storytelling and community engagement, making it a great way to get insights and catch up on all the latest developments from the EMEA region. Hosted primarily by play-by-play caster Daniel “Drakos” Drakos and several other co-hosts, such as Andrew “Vedius” Day and Robert “Dagda” Price, the podcast offered insights on the teams during the season as well as interviews with the LEC players, opening up great discussions in between match weeks.
Unfortunately, Riot Games announced that it has decided to cut the format through an announcement on Instagram:
This series has meant so much to us and to all of you over the years, and we’re truly proud of what we’ve built together. Your support, your reactions, and your feedback have shaped the series in ways we truly appreciate. At the same time, we’ve also encountered some challenges with the format this year, and after taking a close look at what has worked and what hasn’t, we believe it’s the right time to close this chapter – Euphoria will not be returning in 2026.
Riot emphasized that the move isn’t about “looking back with regret,” but rather an opportunity to rethink how the company wants to approach LEC storytelling going forward. In the post, the company mentioned that the team is exploring new ideas and that something new might be presented by the start of the 2026 LEC Spring Split, which will take place after the end of the First Stand tournament in Brazil. While Riot Games hasn’t given many details about what’s coming next, the LEC is set to take a big hit before the new season kicks off in January with the new LEC Versus tournament.
