Gen.G Chovy has been arguably the most consistent player of the 2025 season. Once again, he was one of the main reasons why Gen.G managed to win both MSI and Esports World Cup titles. At the end of the match against AG.AL, we had the chance to chat with him.

Gen.G Chovy: “In terms of overall performance, I feel I did really well. I’m very satisfied.”

Gen.G Chovy EWC Grand Finals Interview

Below is the transcript of the interview with Gen.G Chovy. The questions and answers were translated from English to Korean.

Can you tell us why your Twisted Fate is better than the others? What’s the secret?

Chovy: Actually, by the time we got to the fifth game, there weren’t that many champions left to use in mid lane. From a top laner’s perspective, it also feels good if the mid laner picks champions that can give strength (help) to the top lane.

There is a picture of you and the rest of the team eating McDonald’s at MSI. What’s your favorite McDonald item menu?

Chovy: At McDonald’s, the food I like is something you can only get in Korea, not overseas. Thinking about having a balanced diet, I only eat the McChicken — it has both vegetables and protein, so it’s great.

With how the season is going and how consistent you have been so far, do you think you’re the best player in the world right now?

Chovy: Since we won both MSI and EWC, I think I did the best. Not only did we win today, but in terms of overall performance, I also feel I did really well. I’m very satisfied.

Any last message to the fans?

Chovy: I’m very thankful to the fans who support me. I’ll continue to show a good side of myself in the future.

Chovy and the rest of the Gen.G lineup won’t have much time for celebrations, however. The players will be back for action for LCK Rounds 3-5, the third part of the LCK 2025 season, with their first match on Wednesday against Hanwha Life Esports, and will also face rivals T1 later this Friday.
