Bilibili Gaming is the first LPL team to lock Worlds 2025 Qualification

Last year’s finalists BiliBili Gaming will be back at the biggest stage of the season

It has been a season full of ups and downs for BLG, yet they have managed to make their way onto another Worlds qualification. In a close series against Top Esports in the upper bracket final of the LPL Split 3 Playoffs, BiliBili Gaming took the win with a narrow 3-2 score record.

The series saw once again the return of jungler Shad0w during the series after BLG was down 1-2 after game 3. Despite the pressure, the Italian-Chinese jungler delivered, leading the team to two consecutive wins and earning the MVP in the decisive game 5.

With the team locking at least second place in playoffs and having accumulated enough Championship points (at least 190), BLG are guaranteed to either be the #1 seed or the #2 seed from the LPL at Worlds 2025.

All teams left in contention for Worlds

Even though BLG have locked in their spot, there are still three more seeds for the LPL to confirm, and it’s looking like one of the most competitive splits in recent times. Anyone’s Legend, JD Gaming, and Top Esports are still in the running in the double-elimination bracket and one of them is set to fight BLG in the grand final, which will take place this weekend on Sunday, September 21.

Aside from the LPL split 3 winner and the first team with the most amount of championship points, the other two Worlds slots will be determined by the regional qualifier, which is set to feature the top teams based on championship points. IG and WBG are already seeded after the elimination from the LPL playoffs, and they will be waiting for two squads between AL, TES, and JDG. The LPL 2025 Regional Finals will take place from September 25 to September 27.

The winner will be LPL’s #3 seed at Worlds while the other will have to fight in play-ins against LCK’s #4 seed, which will be a team between BNK FearX, DplusKIA, T1, and Gen.G, following the unexpected upset by KT Rolster in the LCK Season Finals.
