As the latest ADC champion to be released on the Summoner’s Rift, here are the best Yunara supports you should be playing with for this season.
After years of complex champion designs (with Aphelios being the pinnacle), Riot Games has slowly returned to its roots with more friendly champions. Smolder was the first one, and now we get Yunara, who greatly represents how an ADC should be while having a relatively easy kit to pick up.
Aside from mastering her, knowing which supports work best with her is mandatory. Here are the five best champions to play with Yunara, regardless of which patch you are playing on, to unleash her potential.
If there is a support champion you can always default to with Yunara, it should be Lulu. Unless the yordle champion is in a terrible state in the support meta (which she is not currently), she is the ideal support for Yunara.
Not only does Lulu bring protective tools in her kit that can help Yunara survive the laning phase and scale up, she also empowers her late thanks to his W and ultimate. The additional HP and shields will prevent the ADC from dying too weakly, giving her time to reposition to dish out damage.
The ideal strategy to play these two champions is by having Lulu walk around with Yunara around skirmishes and teamfight. Protect the carry at all costs, and you should have strong chances of success.

If you’re looking for an alternative to play alongside Yunara, Milio is currently your best shot. Not only does he have similar protective tools to Lulu’s, but he also has different tools to buff up the marksman.
His W (Cozy Campfire) will heal and extend her attack range, putting her into more comfortable positions to deal damage in crowded fights. Additionally, if Yunara is getting heavily targeted, Milio can nullify crowd controls and heal up with his ultimate.
While enchanter supports are usually the way to go, Thresh has also proved to be a good pairing for Yunara. This is because the Shadow Isles support excels at locking down single-target opponents and tools to fend off potential engages. Whether it’s using the E (Flay) or his ultimate, he can slow down enemies’ movements and make the kiting job easier for Yunara. If you need a more beefy front line, Thresh can also do a better job at tanking than enchanters.
While Lulu and Milio have a more passive playstyle, Nami can take advantage of his passive and spells to turn the lane to her advantage. Her healing early on makes it easier for her and Yunara to trade with the opponents, and the additional damage and crowd control can be used to find kill opportunities to snowball the lane. Be aware of the enemy jungler, however, as the two can be heavily punished for overstepping.

If enchanters are great at protecting the carry through their shields, Braum does that with his body and wall. He will act as a bodyguard, tanking incoming damage and abilities while disrupting the enemy’s movements with his passive. The stun from the passive will give enough room for Yunara to set up her DPS, or buy precious time to reposition herself.
If things get tricky, he can also use the ultimate as a last defensive resort. The trade-off is the loss of proactivity in the laning phase, as Braum is not that great at forcing fights
