This Major wasn’t just a standard round to close out the season, it was the major with the most slots at stake for the FNCS LAN at the end of season. Europe was especially competitive as the biggest region in the game. Many have qualified, but it’s Vanyak, Pixie, and Marius who have really impressed after a huge 4-win weekend. A real improvement after just missing out in 3rd place in Season 1.

Vanyak Trio Gets 4 Wins to Qualify to FNCS LAN

In Europe there were more FNCS LAN slots at stake than anywhere though! So, we’re seeing tons of players make it through. Not to mention, that two of the high placing Trios this time around has already secured their slots for next year. Meaning everyone in the top 7 managed to move forward! Among them there’s quite a few trios who will be happy to make that jump up to the top tier of Fortnite esports. Although, there’s also a trio who has once again only just missed out on glory. These are the big takeaways and who is going to LAN:

Vanyak, Pixie, and Marius Get Their Slot Confirmed

The big win of the weekend has come for Vanyak, Pixie, and Marius, who took home first place. They’re coming in off a 3rd place finish last season. Which did net them $27,000 in prize money, but it’s that slot at the LAN that really makes it special. This season, in the FNCS Major 2 they’ve closed up the gap. Having won only one Divisional Cup, they dominated across the finals to get their slot.

Most impressive of their performance is sheer number of Victory Royales. In other regions, teams win from elims. But there’s something really special about seeing Vanyak’s trio taking both elims, and being the last man standing so consistently. Their first win came in game 2 with 7 kills. But they kept it up. They won Game 6, Game 9, and Game 11. With 14 kills in Game 6 and 10 in 9. As one of the best teams in the lobby, it isn’t the biggest surprise. But Vanyak’s trio were a notch above this time.

Tjino, PabloWingu, and Fredoxie take 2nd and Qualify for LAN

Along with Vanyak, the bigger surprise for the weekend might have been the Tjino trio. This squad took their time rising up the leaderboard. They only won one game. But in that game, they amassed 17 kills. One of the biggest results you’ll find on the results across the entire weekend.

Tjino, PabloWingu, and Fredoxie are a strong team, but they’re newly formed. In Season 1 they competed in other teams, with Tjino coming in 12th. There’s been strong results in Divisional Cups, but no wins. It was looking like the move around for players had helped, but maybe not enough.
Compared to other regions where the tops trios run away with it, it’s a fantastic performance for the day. Showing a change of rosters mid-season can be good for everyone. The trio will likely be sticking together for the rest of the season now. Helping to build that synergy as we move into the LAN at the end of the year.

Pixx, Darm, and Demus Continue to Build

The next team to qualiy for the FNCS LAN is Pixx’s trio. Pixx, Darm, and Demus. This trio was coming in of a strong showing in the Divisional Cups, especially towards the end winning the fifth week. They claimed 3rd at the end of the FNCS 2025 Major 2 too. Not quite the win, but in such a big region it’s still impressive. If they can continue to improve in Fortnite, they could be real competitors at this year’s LAN.

Swizzy, Queasy, Merstach Just Squeak Into LAN Slots

A group of names long-time fans will likely all know, SwiZzy Queasy and Merstach just sneak into qualification in 5th. Thanks to teams already qualified placing highly, more moved through than we expect. However, these three definitely deserved their slot. At only four points behind, they came very close to the top 3. It’s hard to call this a disappointing performance, but with players of this pedigree anything less than a win might be falling a little short.

Those are some of the highlights, but every team who has earned their slot this weekend moves forward. Europe gets the most players out of the world heading forward to the LAN. These are the FNCS Major 2 winners moving on to the Global Championship at the end of the year:

  • Vanyak, Pixie, MariusCOW
  • Tjino, PabloWingu, Fredoxie
  • Pixx, Darm, Demus
  • P1ng, Wox, Malibuca (Already Qualified)
  • SwizzY, Queasy, Merstach
  • Vic0, Veno, Flickzy (Already Qualified)
  • Hris, YtaySon, Chico

Of course, the big miss out of the season goes to Th0masHD, UPL, and Panzer. The trio only just missed it. They came in 8th, but a slightly better performance would have put them there. Th0masHD is the name you always see as just missing out, since he’s never won a Major or FNCS yet stays at the top of the game. He’s very likely to make it in Major 3, but all these other Trios have already secured their slots now. His run as the best player to never win is sadly secured for another season.
