Is Fortnite Down Right Now?

Is Fortnite down? The game is typically up 24/7, with even updates only meaning a small bit of downtime. But in the middle of the day, we’ve seen a major outage hit Fortnite. Players won’t be able to login properly in quite in a few different regions of the game. But it should be back up soon. Looking at the public information on the Fortnite Epic server status, a few services are down right now.

Is Fortnite Down?

Fortnite went offline for quite a few players mid-day on January 13th. This came outside of any update or patch coming in Fortnite news. According to the public tracker for the Epic server status, there’s a couple of services which have been affected.

Logins are down. So players trying to get into the game might hit a wall. Matchmaking is also having a partial outage. Which means some players won’t be able to find new games. Although, not everyone is affected. It’s one of the Fortnite outages which is only hitting part of the player base.

We’re expecting the game to return soon. But if you’ve found Fortnite down, it isn’t just you. A ton of players are experiencing it at once, and Fortnite has acknowledged it is down. We’ll just have to wait for it to come back up now. These outages are usually short lived. Although, they’ve gotten more frequent lately. Whenever a game is down like this, there isn’t anything you can do other than wait it out.
