Fortnitemares is here, with a ton of collabs headlining. While the mascot horror icon might not have had as strong of a presence on the Battle Royale map as Jason, he’s definitely part of things. But when is the Huggy Wuggy Fortnite release date? The character is set to come to the item shop very soon But it will be one of the later Fortnitemares collabs. Coming after most of the current lot have rotated through.Out of all the Fortnite collabs for Halloween this year, a handful arrived in the first week. These were collabs which also featured majorly in Battle Royale as bosses on the map. Doja Cat, Jason, and Ghostface by way of the Stalkbox in-game. These are our current equivalents to bosses in-game, no medallions but they have a big impact on gameplay. However, other skins are coming too. Ones that are focused on the item shop. They’re just taking a little longer. One of these is the Huggy Wuggy Fortnite skin.
Since the update first dropped, players could unlock their first bit of the character in-game. A loading screen featuring Huggy Wuggy has been stuffed into the rewards with the free Fortnite Halloween skin. However, the Huggy Wuggy Fortnite skin itself is a bit further behind. It does seem to be coming to the item shop though. Thanks to a leak of some posters, we might even have an exact Huggy Wuggy Fortnite release date. This is everything we know about this new Poppy’s Playtime Fortnite collab so far:
Before we get into the Huggy Wuggy Fortnite release date, what are we actually expecting got come to the game? The big item is obviously the skin.
According to leakers, this will just be a single skin! There’s no set of outfits or even another style supposed to be coming, just him. Fortnite X Poppy’s Playtime is limited to one right now, but could get more skins if there’s enough demand in future. Successful collabs usually start with a single wave before getting expanded. However, it is a particularly fun design for the skin.
This Fortnitemares we’ve seen quite a few skins get added which push it a bit further with the hitboxes. While they keep to Fortnite’s normal dimensions, they definitely look a bit weird on the map. Huggy Wuggy is tall and strange looking. You’re not getting a competitive advantage here, it won’t be like one of the best sweat skins, but should still be fun.
Huggy Wuggy will get some extra items too. We never just get a skin, there’s always a reason for a bundle! These are the other items and how the bundle will look for the Huggy Wuggy Fortnite skin:
Those are the items, but when can we expect the skin to arrive? The Fortnitemares content has been rolled out gradually so far, with each different bundle getting a different time to shine. So far, we’ve had Scooby Doo, but others like the Wednesday Adams Fortnite skin are coming soon. Leakers have had some ideas about release dates, which is seemingly confirmed with some recent leaks. Posters of upcoming Fortnite collabs have listed release dates.
So according to this, October 23rd is the Huggy Wuggy Fortnite release date. This would mean there’s around a week left with the Halloween content once it arrives. It’ll be one of the later skins added to the event. It has been in the game as a loading screen for a while already, so the Poppy’s Playtime X Fortnite collab will be a longer thing in some ways.
That’s what we’re expecting, but will it go further? Most of the Fortnitemares 2025 collabs have done. We’ve got bosses all over the map which are collab skins. However, that doesn’t mean everything shows up on the map. It seems like Huggy Wuggy Fortnite skin will only show up if a player choses to wear it. Although, there could be an NPC.
Sometimes characters show up as NPCs in-game, even if they don’t get a major role. We could still see Huggy Wuggy Fortnite skin as a non-playable character. The Scooby Doo characters all showed up this way. We’ll just have to keep an eye on Fortnite updates around the skin’s release date to see if anything changes.
