New Fortnite Kill Bill skins are coming! In the last few week, we’ve seen some early leaks for one of the more surprising Fortnite collabs. But with a preview event for Chapter 7 taking place, we’ve gotten confirmation of the brand-new skins. It seems we’re getting two separate skins to celebrate Kill Bill. Plus, players can unlock one in a bit of a different way.
Kill Bill is one of the more surprising Fortnite collabs announced recently. It’s an older movie. Plus, a standalone, not the franchise fare Fortnite often collabs with. To celebrate the re-release of Kill Bill though, we’ve got a new skin coming to the game. There’s even some official art already available for a look at what’s coming! These are the new skins and how the collab will work.
The next Fortnite Chapter will feature a few different collabs. Including Back to the Future, but a headline collaboration will be with Kill Bill. Those two movies are getting a re-release, stitched back together into one film, with an extra sequence added in. While avoiding making his last film Quinten Tarantino thanks to a self-imposed limit that it must be the director’s last, he seems to be content with 35mm re-releases of older films. Which is Fortnite’s gain.
There will be two new skins coming for the Fortnite Kill Bill collab. The first is going to be Gogo Yubari, which is unlockable in a bit of a different way. Then there’s the skin we’ve been expecting this whole time, the Bride. Which is coming as part of the Battle Pass for Chapter 7.
The art showcases the skin in the Fortnite style. It’s a fun design, and it’s great that more than one character is coming for this.
Something that’s a bit more exciting with the Fortnite Kill Bill skins is that one will be a free Fortnite skin… kind of. It’s not totally free. Instead, it’s going to be included as a new free skin with a movie ticket.
The Gogo Yubari Fortnite skin is going to be part of a wider promotion. When anyone gets a ticket for Kill Bill in the US, they will also be able to claim the skin for free. From the looks of the promotion, it seems like it won’t be available outside of that one Fortnite region. That’s a shame, but for everyone else it will available in the traditional way.
The Fortnite Kill Bill skin will be claimable through this promotion until November 29th. After that, it’s likely coming to the item shop as a normal skin instead.
That skin might be coming with the release of the film, but the general collab is going to take a while longer. It won’t be releasing in Fortnite until Chapter 7 launches. That’s on November 29th.
Since the main Fortnite Kill Bill skin is a Battle Pass release, it makes sense to wait until the new season for the whole collab. But players need to claim the other skin before the current season ends to get it for free.
It seems Kill Bill will be represented on the map in some way too. Potentially with a Hollywood POI, but that’s all based on some rougher leaks right now. Collabs in the Battle Pass do tend to show up in-game too. Hopefully the rest of the Kill Bill content is a fitting tribute to the movie.
