What is Fortnite Crew? To dedicated players, this subscription is invaluable. It gives V-Bucks and a skin every month, but time things right and you get multiple Battle Passes and free skins for a single month. What’s more, Fortnite Crew is changing this month! It’s bringing in a new skin like usual, but it’s also coming to a very different subscription service.

Starting next month, Fortnite Crew is going to be part of Xbox Game Pass. Another subscription being added to Xbox’s games on demand service. That’s as well as the Pass giving rewards for more than one game like usual.
This Fortnite Crew month might be a bit more exciting to a lot of players too. This is the month that nearly runs up to the Fortnite season ending, so players might want the Premium Battle Pass active to finish off all of the bonus rewards.
What’s changing with Fortnite Crew and what is the subscription service?
What is Fortnite Crew?
Fortnite Crew is a subscription service that Epic has been running for most Fortnite seasons now. It’s a monthly subscription. You pay once per calendar month and receive a batch of rewards. Essentially, it’s a tier of player. You get exclusive rewards like a skin that’s not sold in the shop, a new one comes each month.
The skins are quite varied. It’s been used or collab skins in the past, like Loki being included. More often it’s just a fun original design from Epic though. It’s great to get more original skins which aren’t tied to the season theme every time too.

But you also get access to the Premium Battle Pass for as long as you have the subscription. Along with V-Bucks towards a shop purchase. That’s each month. If players keep the subscription rolling they essentially get the Battle Pass, exclusive skins, and can get skins from the shop. Although, starting earlier this Chapter, Epic made some changes to the process that limits access to the Fortnite Crew rewards.
Players now only get the rewards for as long as they are subscribed. So once your subscription lapses, you no longer have the premium Battle Pass. Although, subscribing mid-month still gets you two skins. The exclusive skins come each calendar month, not per subscription period. So, subscribing outside of the start of a month means you’ll get two of
them.
Another new change was bringing in non-Fortnite rewards. You’ll also get some rewards for games like Rocket League too, which is great if you play both. But probably doesn’t mean much otherwise. That’s what is Fortnite Crew, but what rewards are available at the moment?
All October Rewards for Fortnite Crew

It’s the beginning of a month, so Fortnite Crew has just reset! That means a whole batch of new rewards. This is what’s on offer this month:
- Hana Park Outfit
- Starlit Heart Back bling
- Heartbreaker Lightstick Pickaxe
These fill out a locker slot for the current Fortnite Crew skin. Although, it won’t be much help if you’ve got Fortnite error code 0 which stops you changing your skin.
For each month you’re subscribed to Crew, you unlock a Super style. It’s like the Battle Pass super styles. Just the same skin, but with a different color scheme and pattern. Not a whole alternate style. You do get some other rewards with Crew Pass though:
- Current Premium Battle Pass
- Current OG Pass
- Current Music Pass
- Current Lago Pass
- 1,000 V-Bucks – This credits when you pay for a month of Crew, it’s not one you can double up on month-to-month like the skin
- Rocket League Premium Pass

Fortnite Crew Coming to Xbox Game Pass
Along with all the exciting new rewards, there’s a bit more news on Fortnite Crew this month. It’s going to be coming to Xbox Game Pass. Starting next month! We won’t know for sure what skin is coming until it gets closer to the release. However, it will be part of the subscription.
Fortnite Crew will be included with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. So, if you’re a subscriber to Xbox Game Pass on this tier, you’ll get the Crew rewards automatically. Provided you’re linked up. Presumably those who play via Xbox will have this sorted out. Otherwise, linking an Xbox account to your Epic account is pretty quick.
This will add a bit of extra value to Xbox Game Pass. The catalogue of games is already decent, but given the normal price of Crew, it’s making Game Pass a much more worthwhile subscription for the Fortnite player base. Although, it will give access to a ton of games which will be competing with Fortnite for your time.
