Fortnite Resident Evil skins are some of the most exciting in the game. But a lot of them have been missing for quite a while. While some of the other rarer Capcom Fortnite skins came back like the Street Fighter outfits, Resident Evil has been lagging a little bit. Are the Fortnite Resident Evil skins coming back and which skins are in the game?

Are Fortnite Resident Evil Skins Returning?

Resident Evil is one of the most iconic franchises in gaming. The horror series has grown into a whole world of games, with different stories and going way beyond a zombie game. It’s a franchise that’s proved it can change with the times and develop, including getting skins in live service games like Fortnite. The Gaming Legends series are some of the most popular Fortnite skins, especially when they bring in characters as beloved as those from Resident Evil.

However, we don’t get new skins all that often. It seems the Icon Series gets more new outfits than gaming. What’s more, Epic doesn’t bring them back all that often. The Fortnite Resident Evil skins are getting pretty rare. They haven’t been in the store for quite a while. These are all of the Fortnite Resident Evil skins and if they’ll come back anytime soon:

All Fortnite Resident Evil Skins

We’ve seen two different waves of Resident Evil skins in the game. They both pulled from various older Resident Evils. It’s more focused on a variety of iconic characters across the game’s history, not just the newest characters. These are the skins we’ve seen in the game:

Chris Redfield

One of the initial Resident Evil skins is Chris Redfield, coming in Chapter 2 Season 8. This skin was part of a set the S.T.A.R.S Team. It’s designed after the character in Resident Evil 5 and Village. One of the more recent inspirations from the Fortnite Resident Evil skins.

It might be part of the very first release in Fortnite Resident Evil skins, but it’s been gone a long time. It’s at nearly 900 days since it was last seen, back in 2023. That’s not putting it as one of the top rarest Fortnite skins or anything, but it’s quite a long gap.

Jill Valentine

Next is Jill Valentine. This skin was designed around the character from Resident Evil, and the 2020 remake of Resident Evil 3. It was also part of that initial wave in Chapter 2. This one also hasn’t been seen in 2023. It would definitely be fun to see it back in the game.

Leon S Kennedy

The second part of this later wave of Fortnite Resident Evil skins was Leon Kennedy. Part of the Racoon City Survivors set. It came in Chapter 4. He’s designed around the Resident Evil 4 design. One of the most popular characters in Resident Evil makes a great fit for Fortnite! Like the others, it has been missing or a long time. Not since 2023, which is a major gap for players.

Claire Redfield

The last skin added to the Fortnite Resident Evil skins collab is Claire Redfield. This one also came in Chapter 4 Season 2, the second wave of the Fortnite collabs. This is the most recent Fortnite collaboration we’ve seen with Resident Evil. Finally, it has also not been seen since 2023! This is the cut-off for the Resident Evil skins, none have come back since.

Are the Fortnite Resident Evil Skins Coming Back?

Those are all of the Fortnite Resident Evil skins. But are they coming back to the game anytime soon? It’s been a while since quite a few of them showed up in-game. Although, they’re not top of the list with Fortnite leaks right now. They haven’t recently been re-done for the item shop or anything.

The Fortnite Resident Evil skins currently occupy that list of collabs which could come back, but don’t seem to be in the works. They could get cycled back in, but there’s nothing indicating it’s in the works. The most likely thing to bring the skins back is more Resident Evil skins coming. Since there’s more games coming in the series, this could change though. It would make sense to see new skins and old skins come back if there’s a new title to promote.

Since the skins have been missing since 2023, it might take a while to see them again. We saw some of the other Capcom skins, the Street Fighter ones, go missing for literal years. They have come back recently. But clearly Capcom isn’t pushing their skins to be featured constantly. We might be waiting until the stars align for Resident Evil to come back to the item shop.
