‘Tis the season of giving, and Dota 2 is no exception, with the Winter 2025 Collector’s Cache skins dropping alongside brand new hero Largo and patch 7.40 today. Skins fiends will have plenty of cosmetics to look forward to in the midst of the holidays, which is perfect for those looking for new swag to dress their favorite heroes up in.
We’re getting 16 new sets for the same number of heroes, so it’s time to run down each one.
Well, uh… this better not awaken anything in me. Anyway, the White Widow set for Broodmother kicks things off, with there being a whole ass woman attached to Broodmother’s head. The woman is clad in what looks to be a wedding dress and veil, which would explain the set’s name. Included in the set is a skin for her Spiderlings to match.

The color palette is majority white and red, which kind of reminds me of Lala Barina from Monster Hunter Wilds. I’m sure this was intentional to a degree, as there is a Monster Hunter-Dota 2 collaboration going on between Valve and Capcom at the moment.
Centaur Warrunner dresses himself up as the default courier in this set of the Dota 2 Winter 2025 Collector’s Cache, complete with a mask to make him look the part.

He even has saddlebags with donkey silhouettes knitted into each side. Cute!
Chen rides a red panda adorned with a crown and a braided rope as the reins.

Chen himself meanwhile wears a hat inspired directly by the Asian conical hat, worn by many Asian cultures when working out in the rice fields. His staff, meanwhile, has a glowing orb of power at the head, which shimmers with its own distinct animation.
Not quite a biblically-accurate angel but pretty damn close to it, Enigma puts on a hood and halo in the Angel of the Abyss set.

I love me some cosmic/religious horror skins, so honestly, I think this one is my favorite of the lot — even though I don’t play Enigma at all.
Marci is a pugilist by trade, and so it is just fitting that she gets a gladiator outfit with this set.

As the name would imply, the biggest feature of this set is the laurel-themed pieces, with the stellar (literally) crown ornament being the real eye-catcher. I am absolutely in love with Marci’s hairdo in this one as well.
East Asian body horror is among the coolest subgenres of horror, and Sun Wukong now enjoys the benefits of looking positively horrifying in that sense.

The Sins of the Simian Sovereign set gives him a frightening scowl contrasted by a regal looking white mane, the latter of which serves as a reminder that he is still a king despite his new intense look.
It’s always nice seeing Morphling get skins that are actually worth taking a look at, seeing as he’s literally just a moving puddle.

To that end, the Fluid Frenzy set partly turns him into a shark, which when combined with the swirling animation of his body makes him look like something right out of Sharknado.
Why does Omniknight have a cloth over his head? I… I’m so confused right now. This is giving Shroud of Turin vibes.

The rest of this set looks killer, though. Omniknight is channeling his inner Diablo paladin with this one, complete with a flail with an absolutely massive sun-shaped striker at the business end. Not that Omniknight is at all viable right now in Dota patch 7.40, but that’s not the point.
As if to apologize for missing the easiest layup of all time by not making a Monster Hunter set for Primal Beast, Valve is making amends with the Prehistoric Predator set.

This one is really nice. Primal Beast has seemingly taken the bones of a long-dead tyrannosaurus rex (as evidenced by the overgrowth present on the bones), and worn them all over his body.
Talk about being on the (pig’s) nose. The Glutton of Punishment set turns Pudge into an anthropomorphic swine, an obvious nod to the fact that he is, after all, the Butcher.

Meat Hook (Q) being a severed lobster claw is really silly, which is absolutely in line with the idea that Pudge is just a total goober. Elsewhere on his body, it’s just all meat and seafood, and he even has some skewers stuck to his back.
Apparently, it’s never too late for Halloween, as Ringmaster gets himself a scarecrow-themed set in this patch.

He’s even got a pumpkin-headed staff to match the rest of the accoutrements. Spooky!
Edgar Allan Poe fans that also enjoy a spot of Dota 2 will get a kick out of this Silencer set, with The Raven being the obvious inspiration for this one.

It could also just have something to do with the Skywrath, the same race that Skywrath Mage and Vengeful Spirit belong to, so there’s that.
Now here’s a pretty unique twist on Shadow Fiend, who normally doesn’t wear armor and just walks around with his demonic visage out like a boss.

This set harkens back to medieval times, particularly with the chain mail helmet and the golden gauntlets around Nevermore’s arms.
Get your inner hillbilly on with the Techies, and make sure you have your tractor license with you!

The Sodbustin’ Saboteurs set has them dressed up as farmers from the Southern United States, complete with a tiny tractor and the usual farmer’s outfits on each of them. I say that, but Spoon has actually turned into a hog this time around, so no overalls or anything for him.
Morphling isn’t the only one getting some sharky swag this patch, as Tidehunter is joining in the nautical fun with the Insatiable Seas set.

This one sees him with an actual shark head grafted onto his neck, so it’s not quite as green as the rest of his body. He’s also got a glowing red anchor to complement the set itself, which is a nice touch.
Rounding out the list is the rarest set of the lot: Tiny’s Stone Giant Stronghold. This set replaces the tree from Tree Grab (E) with an entire wizard’s tower, complete with tree branches wrapping around it to really hammer home the forest theme.

Tiny himself, meanwhile, is dressed like a squire straight out of a children’s fantasy book, with a skull cap on his head and battlements growing out of his stony hide. Better yet, the set becomes more ostentatious and imposing with each level of Grow (R), with the final form having an entire bastion’s worth of fortifications to show off.
