M80 have kicked off their 2026 CS2 season by picking up a trophy win at fl0m’s Mythical LAN. For their efforts, M8o takes home the lion’s share of a $30,000 prize pool, as well as a solid boost to the VRS points ahead of the season getting into full swing.
Throughout their stay in Las Vegas, M80 faced off against regain, BOSS, Voca, and NRG, beating all four without dropping a single map at fl0m’s Mythical LAN. Their flawless run is the perfect start to life with JBa, who recently joined the team in place of HexT from Wildcard.
Reaching the Grand Final, one might’ve expected a more competitive affair, given NRG and M80 are typically on a fairly even keel domestically. Here, though, there was little in the way of a contest. While NRG made Mirage competitive at 13:10, a 13:1 blowout on Dust2 for M80 brought an anticlimactic end to this best-of-three Grand Final. When all was said and done, M80’s Lake was named tournament MVP, who has recently been linked with a move to G2.

With fl0m’s Mythical LAN now concluded, there’s no doubt that it was a roaring success for North American Counter-Strike. For the struggling NA scene to survive, it needs this kind of support, and fl0m deserves credit for bringing it together.
