Valve has officially confirmed that Train is coming out as the next CS2 map pool change ahead of Premier Season 4. The change means that Anubis is returning to Active Duty from January 19th, swiftly bringing the map into the pool.
Season Three of Premier ends on January 19th.
You must have 25 Season Three Premier wins and a visible CSR when the Season concludes to earn your Premier Season Three medal.
For Season Four:
– Train
+ Anubis— CS2 (@CounterStrike) January 9, 2026
Anubis was removed for Overpass as part of the last CS2 map pool change in July, and it was a controversial change. However, Anubis was too T-sided, and Valve has (sort of) teased changes for its return. When asked by SPUNJ whether changes will be made to Anubis, the official Counter-Strike account responded with, “The answer is either “yes” or “no”.”
Train leaves the pool after one year in Active Duty, during which time it was one of the most unpopular maps among casual players. The change will go live, alongside CS2 Premier Season 4, on January 19th.
