Team Spirit’s win at the PW Shanghai Major 2024 was the perfect ending to donk’s debut year. The prodigy was able to take home Counter-Strike’s biggest prize at just his second attempt. Aided by his teammates, of course, but you’d be hard-pressed to find anyone who believes Team Spirit’s first CS2 Major win wasn’t the “donk show.”
Team Vitality were vast favorites coming into the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, and they didn’t disappoint. After a near-perfect season, they were able to cap off the first half of 2025 by becoming CS2 Major winners for the first time. The trio of apEX, ZywOo, and ropz all won back Majors in CS:GO, but for flameZ and mezii, this was their first rodeo, securing their legacy as one of the best Counter-Strike teams ever.
