StarLadder Budapest Major 2025

The StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 is the final tournament to round out the Counter-Strike calendar for the year. Held in Budapest, Hungary, the event marks StarLadder's return to the Tier 1 Counter-Strike scene, having previously held the StarLadder Berlin Major 2019. The organizer has also confirmed that the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 will be a best-of-five Final for the first time ever, marking a watershed moment in CS history. With $1.25 million and legacy on the line, Vitality will be looking to win back-to-back Majors, but they'll face stiff competition from the likes of Falcons, MOUZ, and Spirit.

StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 Format

The StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 will feature four Stages in total: Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3, and Playoffs. Depending on their VRS ranking at the time of invite, some teams have already qualified as deep as Stage 3.

• Stage 1 (November 24th-27th): 16-team Swiss format Group. All elimination and advancement matches are best-of-three, all other matches are best-of-one. Top eight teams progress to Stage 2, bottom eight are eliminated.
• Stage 2 (November 29th-December 2nd): 16-team Swiss format Group. All elimination and advancement matches are best-of-three, all other matches are best-of-one. Top eight teams progress to Stage 3, bottom eight are eliminated.
• Stage 3 (December 4th-7th): 16-team Swiss format Group. All elimination and advancement matches are best-of-three, all other matches are best-of-one. Top eight teams progress to Playoffs, bottom eight are eliminated.
• Playoffs (December 11th-14th): Single-elimination bracket. Quarter-Finals and Semi-Finals are best-of-three. Grand Final is best-of-five.

There will also be CS2 Pick'Ems for the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, an in-game event where players can predict results to attempt to earn a Diamond coin.
