The 100 Thieves CS2 roster has confirmed the signing of former FaZe Clan stalwart rain as the first piece of their puzzle. Following the recent confirmation of their return to Counter-Strike, 100 Thieves has signified an intent to compete at the top of the game by bringing in rain.

After he was removed from FaZe’s active roster earlier this year, rain confirmed that he was open to IGLing in order to continue his CS2 career away from Faze. And in a recent conversation with 100 Thieves’ seangares and messiosi, it was confirmed that the plan for the team was to first announce its in-game leader before any other pieces. With rain‘s confirmation on the 100 Thieves CS2 roster, the team has announced on its YouTube channel that he will indeed be taking up the IGL mantle for the first time in his career.

Rumors about rain and 100 Thieves began to circle a short while back, with the prevailing story that rain’s arrival was dependent on the arrival of a competitive roster surrounding him. There was some suggestion that the GamerLegion core of REZ, Tauson, and PR would be following him, and it remains to be seen if that will come to fruition.
