Because CS2 knives are among the game’s most premium purchases, most players do not want to commit until they’ve seen exactly what they look like on the server. Using a CS2 knife command is the perfect way to do this, given that it allows you to preview them without going into an online server.
CS2 knife commands are console cheats that you can use to test all CS2 knives in an offline server. This is great if you want to try out how all the knife shapes look in your hand, or test the vanilla knives with certain gloves for your CS2 knife and glove combo.
Unfortunately, you cannot use CS2 knife commands with skins. So, for example, if you wanted to test the different Karambit Case Hardened Blue Gem patterns, you wouldn’t be able to. Every CS2 knife command only gives the vanilla version of each knife, so it’s the actual shapes you’re checking out here.
Every CS2 knife command has to be used in a server with sv_cheats enabled. While this is easiest done in an offline server, it would technically work in an online CS2 community server, too. For obvious reasons, you can’t use CS2 knife commands in your online matches, such as Premier, Competitive, or FACEIT.
To enable CS2 knife commands, simply copy and paste the two commands below into your in-game console.
That’s it – now you’ve enabled the ability to drop knives, it’s time to spawn them in.

Every CS2 knife has a unique code that the game uses to identify what it is. For example, the Karambit is subclass 507. We can turn that into a CS2 knife command easily.
To spawn any knife in CS2, simply type in the command corresponding to the type of knife you want below:
After you enter the CS2 knife command, it will spawn on the ground. Simply drop your own knife and pick up the new one. A thing I’ve noticed when doing this, though – it will drop the knife to wherever you’re looking, even if that is far into the distance. For this reason, I’d suggest looking directly at the floor in front of you when using a CS2 knife command.

You can also quickly use CS2 knife commands with binds and alias. You need to set this up in your autoexec, which can be found at: C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\game\core\cfg.
Importantly, you can add as many different CS2 knife command binds as you want to your autoexec. For example, by adding two lines to the autoexec, you could make it so that you spawn a Karambit with the “P” key and a Butterfly Knife with the “L” key. Make sure you save your autoexec after you have added the commands.
No – CS2 knife commands only show the vanilla versions of each knife, and there is no way to change this so it uses skins. However, you can use inspect servers to inspect CS2 knives with skins.
