This weekend saw Frosty Faustings XVIII play out, a major fighting game event with some fun tournaments for a ton of games. One was a little extra special though, the first 2XKO Major tournament. Now the game is in wider release these kinds of competitive events are going to become a lot more common.
The game has had some early events already. Plenty of test fights in beta and smaller tournaments. But since it’s only just receiving a wider launch, things are heating up. the game’s now available on multiple platforms and has a proper 2XKO ranks system working too. Last week already saw the announcement of the 2XKO Japan Series. And with the first 2XKO Major wrapped up in the west too, we’ve got a good idea at some of the stand out players in this early part of the game.
Bleed took first in the initial major for the game, with an impressive performance.

The Frosty Faustings event for 2XKO stepped things up, with nearly a thousand players competing for the $50,000 prize pool.
The tournament’s finals bracket began with bleed in the upper side already. Where he beat Zano 201. Going on to face Supernoon in the upper bracket final. Supernoon had a strong performance throughout the weekend, but ultimately lost 301 to bleed.
This knocked them down to the lower bracket final. But a win over Globo secured their rematch against bleed for the first 2XKO Major win. Things got a bit tense here.
In the first set of matches, supernoon took victory 3-2. If Supernoon had been the upper bracket winner, that would have been the end of things. But instead, we got a bracket reset. In the second run, bleed won this time. Beating supernoon 1-3.
The results were pretty interesting. While bleed definitely deserved the title, things were fairly close. For an emerging game like 2XKO, this could be a great sign. that there’s plenty of players pushing the skill level forward as the title develops into a full competitive fighting game in 2026.

2XKO wasn’t the only tournament at Frosty this year. We also saw events in a ton of other fighters, like SF 6 and Guilty Gear. It’s one of the most expansive fighting game tournaments on the calendar right now. They’ll be quite a few more events like this for 2XKO coming up now too.
We’ll likely see more players emerge as stand outs in the game as things get going. The Japan Series especially is going to be a fun regular tournament for the game. With the first 2XKO Major finishing, we’ll see more individual fighting game tournaments adding the game. We’ll probably see a bigger event at tournaments like EVO too.
Fighting game events tend to feature multiple events all in one. We’ve now got even more bigger events on the horizon though, with EVO expanding to bring back Japan and introduce an EU event. Since 2XKO doesn’t have it’s own circuit yet, these tournaments will definitely be the highlight. But we’ll likely see the Riot fighter joining the mainstream fighters at other events too.
