The peak of the season will be crowning our kings for VALORANT Champions 2025. The culmination of the season will see 1 of the 16 qualified teams crowned as the world’s greatest in 2025, and will be the fifth side to lift the golden Champs trophy. This year, taking place in Paris, France, the prize pool will be spread across 16 teams, totalling $2.25 million dollars. The first-place team will be walking away with a hefty million in their back pocket.
VALORANT Champions brings together the 16 best teams, split evenly between the four VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) leagues: Americas, EMEA, Pacific, and China. The top two teams from Stage two earned immediate qualification, while the remaining two representatives for each region were determined through Championship Points earned throughout the season based on regional and international performance.
Pacific champions Paper Rex arguably head to Paris as the favourites to win the whole thing. Despite a rocky start to the year, the loveable lineup finally won an international title in what was their 11th attempt when the team won Masters Toronto earlier this year. They followed that up with a confident run in Pacific Stage 2, winning a regional title with relative ease to earn their #1 seeding at Champs.
Their fiercest competition should be G2 Esports, the only team worldwide to win multiple regional events this year. While no other team has won more than one VCT league in 2025, G2 swept the Americas to win Kickoff, Stage 1, and Stage 2, marking a perfect home season. Thus far, they’ve not been able to transition that into a global trophy, though they were only one map away from doing so when they were beaten by T1 in the Masters Bangkok final in March.
Groups were drawn immediately once all Stage 2 finals concluded; live on stage after G2 beat NRG in Americas. Groups were drawn based on seeding, while no two teams from the same region could be drawn together.
