Valorant Champions 2025 Group Draw and Matchups Revealed

The Draw Rules

The draw followed Riot Games’ established rules for international events:

  • Teams were sorted into four GSL-style groups (Groups A–D).
  • All 16 teams entered the group stage.
  • Regional seeding was based on placement performance across the year.
  • #1 seeds were placed into a common pool before filling groups with #2, #3, and #4 seeds.
  • Crucially, no two teams from the same region can be placed in the same group.

This last rule actually saw some usage, with PRX and EDG narrowly avoiding being placed together in Group A so as to accommodate this rule due to a double overlap possibility between NA and EMEA teams in other groups.

What to Expect from the VALORANT Champions Group Stage

The GSL-style format means every group will feature:

  • An opening round (two matches per group).
  • Winners’ match (winner qualifies for playoffs).
  • Elimination match (loser goes home).
  • Decider match (final playoff spot decided).

Two teams will qualify from each bracket and be seeded as #1 and #2, which will have further stakes as they head into playoffs.

The Valorant Champions 2025 groups are balanced ahead of the most stacked Champions event to date. With Pacific teams winning both Masters this year, all eyes will be on PRX, T1, RRQ, and DRX to see if they can carry that dominance onto Valorant’s biggest stage.
