After a mammoth wait with two global events sandwiched between, finally the VALORANT Champions Tour returns to regional play. The bicontinental VCT Americas Stage 2 is set to begin this Friday, where teams will continue their journey towards the ever-desired Champs qualification.
Kicking off the stage will be a clash between Cloud9 and Furia. Cloud9 showed some promise in Stage 1 with a few group stage wins, but their quick exit in playoffs has continued a so-far uninspired season. Furia needs an upswing even more, having only gained a single Americas victory this year: their season opener against 2Game in January.
Closing out day 1 are Leviatán and LOUD, two more sides whose seasons have been lacklustre and will be hopeful of dramatic improvement during Stage 2 in the hopes of pushing for a Champs place.
Day 2 will start with 2023 VALORANT Champions winners Evil Geniuses taking on Ascension side 2Game Esports, the latter of which will be desperate to reach playoffs in order to have any shot at avoiding relegation. Then MIBR, looking to improve on their shocking Masters Toronto run, against KRÜ.
The final day of play will begin with 100 Thieves facing NRG, both back from their Esports World Cup appearances. Then, with a banger to close out the week, will be a top-of-the-table clash between the league’s best two teams: Sentinels versus G2.

Unlike the counterparts across the pond, VCT Americas has now yet outlined the dates for its playoff matches, including the date of the eventual grand final.
