VCT Americas is the tier one competition for VALORANT across North and South America, combining sides from both hemispheres to create an intercontinental league. Teams compete not only for regional glory, but also to earn qualification to VALORANT Champions.

VCT Americas Stage 2

VCT Americas Stage 2 Format

Like Stage 1, VCT Americas Stage 2 will begin with its 12 teams split into two groups: Group Alpha and Group Omega. Each group will complete a single round-robin of best-of-three matches, with the top four moving onto the knockout stage.

The double-elimination bracket will see teams start at different stages depending on their group stage seeding. First seeds will receive a bye to the second round of the upper bracket, while second and third seeds will face each other in the first round. Those who qualify in fourth place will begin in the lower bracket.

All knockout games are best-of-three, except for the lower bracket final and grand final, which will both be best-of-five.

VCT Americas Teams

Many of the largest esports organisations in the world compete in VCT Americas, including heavyweights G2 Esports, who joined the league this year as an Ascension team, Evil Geniuses, LOUD, and Cloud9.

The league also features some sides known specifically for their time in VALORANT itself, with Sentinels having made its name as one of the earliest global event winners in 2021.

As well as prize money, teams also earn Championship Points for their placings. Championship points are awarded throughout the year, both for regional and global placings, and are used to determine two of the Americas’ four attendees at Champs later in the year.

VCT Americas Teams to Watch

Following their successes in both Kickoff and Stage 1, G2 Esports are undoubtedly the team to beat in Americas right now. Though not one of the league’s partnered teams, they’ve dominated since promoting this year are one of the best-performing teams on the planet.

Close behind G2 are Sentinels, Madrid Masters winners last year and back-to-back Americas runners-up in 2025. Were it not for G2’s emergence this season, SEN would be loving life at the top and would’ve very likely lifted two trophies so far this season.

The likes of MIBR and Evil Geniuses will enter Stage 2 as outsiders for the title — little expectation to contend but could have a good run if the stars align. At the other end of the table, 2G will be desperate to reach the knockouts, at the very least, as it’s now the only way they can remain in with a chance at avoiding relegation. If 2G does not reach playoffs, they will lose their spot in the league automatically.

Where to watch VCT Americas Stage 2
