The 2026 season of The Finals is starting with a showmatch series by the Breakout Master Series. The one-day event will feature four of the top NA rosters, including the recent Finals Grand Major winners NTMR.

The Finals Breakout Showmatch to Feature Four top NA Rosters

Breakout hosted the 2024 Split 1 and Split 2 events, plus its own World Championship in late 2024. Now, the platform returns to host a showmatch featuring four top NA sides, all streamed live on Twitch in a single evening.

The Finals Breakout Showmatch

We are expecting good things from The Finals Esports in 2026 after the game had a big showing in 2025 with the Grand Major in Stockholm. The developers talked about big things coming in 2026, and while those plans are still unknown, we are starting to get a few hints at the future. While this Breakout Showmatch is not part of those official plans, it’s good to see Finals fans getting something a little extra so early in the year.

The event kicks off on Thursday, January 15th, at 8pm EST (1am GMT, January 16). It will feature four rosters, one of which is the current Grand Major winners, though with their new look roster after two members of the side left to join the new ENVY rosters. Only one roster is being represented by an organisation for now; however, these are four very strong rosters.

The full rosters are:

  • NTMR – Brandon “Graduating“, Sterling “lamp” Kimball, and Jordan “Lasagna” Williams
  • Team Jaggers – Nicholas “varieyn” Fagre, Tyler “Tmills” Mills, and Nicholas “Slothy” Hanania (former FYR Strays roster)
  • Team 3 – Jaden “stewj“, Noah “n0rmalize“, and Bizzy – former ENVY and Team ED
  • Team 4 – Dylan “Arko” (TSM), Brendy (Pioneers), and Jalen “JalenMans” Stephens (team unconfirmed)

Considering Expectations are high for The Finals esports in 2026, where many roster moves are still being completed, and players all over the space are announcing their vague “contract signed” posts, these are four very strong teams. Given that three of them are mostly unsigned, we expect this event to work as a great Showmatch in more than one way.

We don’t know the format for the Finals Breakout Showmatch just yet, so you’ll learn when we do. However, we’re looking forward to watching it from our bed in the early hours of January 16th.
