Oxygen Esports won the North America Last Chance Qualifier event to secure the final prize spot at the Six Invitational in Paris in February. The 2-0 series win was worth the hype as Oxygen Esports took the win against Dark Zero. Despite being the side to secure the Grand Final spot first, and with Oxygen Esports having played already just before the Grand Final, it wasn’t enough of an advantage for the side that had dominated the LCQ.

With Oxygen taking down Cloud9 in the Lower Bracket Final earlier in the day, they set themselves up for a big showdown against Dark Zero for a spot in Paris. The North America final secures the second of four remaining spots, with Europe and MENA having also secured a spot on the first weekend of the LCQ.

A strong start in the series of Oxygen Esports as they looked to take control on the attacker side to give them a commanding lead on the defence. However, it wasn’t easy for them once they shifted sides, with Dark Zero also starting strong on attack, keeping the series at 5-5. Round 11 was a huge moment, with a close round barely going the way of Oxygen, who managed to recover some momentum. They maintained it, taking map one to claim a huge lead over Dark Zero, who had it all to do in the following two maps.

Dark Zero started map two much better, however, Oxygen Esports did manage to pull back to a 2-2 before a crucial round five where Dark Zero managed to pull it back to head into the second half with a one round lead.

Oxygen, however, came out swinging in the second half of the match, taking back the lead and putting themselves into a series point position soon after with a 6-3 lead. In the crucial match point round, Dark Zero pulled out a major clutch up to bring it back to 6-4. Another huge clutch round came in the penultimate round for Dark Zero, who, despite having a terrible start to the round, managed to pull it back to pile pressure onto Oxygen with just one match point left.

The final round was another strong showing for Oxygen Esports, who this time managed to clutch up to claim a huge victory in an amazing comeback victory, having been knocked into the Lower Bracket by Dark Zero the day before.

For Oxygen Esports, they secure a return to Six Invitational for 2026 as the side looks to take this momentum going into the next event.
