I don’t even know what’s going on with Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves anymore, because developer and publisher SNK have just revealed that Bosnian-Swedish DJ Emir “Salvatore Ganacci” Kobilić as the game’s fourth guest character.
Known for EDM hits like “Talk”, “Horse”, and “Take Me to America”, Ganacci shot to fame (or infamy, depending on who you ask) after his live performances at Tomorrowland Festival in Belgium in 2018 and 2019. There, his comedic dancing won the hearts of EDM fans on the internet, as clips of his performance went immediately viral.
SNK announced his incoming arrival as a guest character in City of the Wolves earlier this afternoon, on several of their official social media channels. The announcement itself included a trailer featuring Ganacci, showing off his moveset and fighting style — which is just as anyone would expect. He utilizes a mix of street fighting and vocal attacks to beat his opponents, which is nothing short of bizarre once you see it in action.
Of course, a guest appearance like this wouldn’t be complete without some new tunes. According to SNK, Salvatore Ganacci has curated “11 world renowned DJs” to add music to City of the Wolves. Ganacci himself will also add some of his own original music to the game. Now, whether or not the pieces he ends up composing will fit the game at all is still anyone’s guess, but we’ll never know until the game comes out on April 24th.
Yes, you’re reading that right: this isn’t even the first time that SNK have announced a real person as a guest character for this game. Just last week, they also revealed legendary footballer Cristiano Ronaldo as the first crossover character between real life and City of the Wolves, which was met with mixed reception as one might imagine.
Most fans were baffled at SNK’s decision to “digitize” real people and have them brawl in one of the most highly-anticipated fighting game titles of the last few years, though some were willing to let it slide as it seemed like Ronaldo would be the first and last such guest character. But not even a week later, fans now see that they might have spoken too soon.

Ronaldo’s inclusion in the game had actually been teased since September 2024, when the man himself posted a video on his personal X account showing a trailer to that effect. It was only last week when they officially revealed his presence, with the same kind of showcase trailer that Salvatore Ganacci got today.
His appearance in City of the Wolves isn’t exactly surprising, though. Cristiano Ronaldo is currently bankrolled by the Saudi Arabian government to play in the Saudi Pro League, as a member of local club Al Nassr. And given that 96 percent of SNK is also owned by the Saudi Arabian government, you can pretty easily connect the dots here.
SNK have gone on the record claiming that Saudi Arabian ownership does not affect their creative process, but I’m sure absolutely no one is buying this obvious lie. It’s okay, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman — we know that you want two of your passions, those being video games and football, to collide in a tangible manner.
Going back to Salvatore Ganacci, I do know one thing for sure: fans aren’t happy with the trend that SNK seems to be pushing with these guest characters. Most existing Fatal Fury and King of Fighters veterans are wondering why the hell the developers now seem to be hell-bent on putting actual people into their new game, and I can’t blame them at all.
Ok, now that's a stretch. CR7 was fine, but we want to see SNK characters in a SNK game, not real life celebrities that definitely don't appeal to gamers.

It’s one thing to put a world-famous athlete like Ronaldo in City of the Wolves, but Ganacci is definitely nowhere near as popular or prominent as CR7 himself. The worst part? None of us even know if this will truly be the last, or if SNK has no intention of stopping — especially with possible DLC characters on the horizon.
At least Ken Masters and Chun-Li are there to kind of soften the blow. Both Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui are in Street Fighter 6, so it’s only natural for their counterparts to guest in a Fatal Fury game.
