The MSC Group Stage Day 2 has concluded with a major upset!. There’s mid-tier teams catching up to the favorites of the tournament, which makes it more unpredictable this time around. Here’s everything that’s happened in the MSC Group Stage Day 2.

Both Homebois and Team Flash are already known in the international scene and have proven themselves to be worthy of a Top 8 spot in the tournament. Altering facing each other in the Knockouts last year, Team Flash came out on top with 4 out of 5 of their roster currently. This time, Homebois has a completely different roster.
During the first game, Team Flash got the advantage early on, not giving Homebois enough space to farm with constant pressure.
The 2nd and 3rd games were pretty odd, as Team Flash picked Leomord Gold Lane for Vanix. The pocket pick, however, never worked. Homebois heavily targeted the damage dealers, Vanix and KurtTzy, for them to be behind in gold. With no damage output from Team Flash, Homebois swooped in to take the match in MSC Group Stage Day 2.

This match went as expected, RRQ completely dominated the newcomers, Area 77. The game was just too easy for RRQ. They ended it as fast as possible, taking advantage of the MSC 2025 tournament format.
The current fastest team is Team Liquid with a total of 24 minutes, 6 minutes faster than RRQ’s total time of approximately 30 minutes. Both teams still have one match to go, where Team Liquid faces the champion of MPL ID S15, ONIC, while RRQ faces the winner of the next match.

This was the highlight match of the day, and it did not disappoint. Nobody expected. The Turkish representatives actually defeated the current world champions and one of the best MLBB teams, ONIC PH, 2-1 in the first round of the group stage.
In the first game, Aurora Gaming matched ONIC PH’s tempo. This was the first time ONIC PH got outclassed in the macro game, since their draft didn’t allow them to split up except for their Moskov. The entirety of the game felt like they lacked damage to finish most of the members of Aurora Gaming. After a few more neutral objectives taken, Aurora Gaming surprises everyone with the first point against the current world champions.
The second game was much more one-sided in favor of ONIC PH, as they showed their true fundamentals and made Aurora Gaming follow their tempo. Similar to how Aurora Gaming deprived ONIC PH of resources, the roles were now reversed in favor of ONIC PH. The game still ended at the 20-minute mark, which is unfavorable for ONIC PH if they win the last game of MSC Group Stage Day 2.
The last game was all ONIC PH up until the first lord take when Aurora Gaming tried to contest with split pressure and heavy target selection on ONIC PH carries. The gold lead started to dwindle down in favor of Aurora Gaming. But one great play by Aurora Gaming’s Lunar and APEX47 quickly decided the game when they initiated ONIC PH’s Gold Laner, Kelra, bursting him down to remove ONIC PH’s damage source. They then cascaded to other members of ONIC PH and quickly tried to end the game with only SuperFrince and Kirk to try to defend. The unthinkable happened as Aurora Gaming beat the current world champions in the first round of the group stage.

There was a lot of hype coming into this match for both teams, as they were highly regarded by a lot of teams in MSC.
The match, however, ended quickly in favor of Team Spirit at the end of MSC Group Stage Day 2., They seemed to have upgraded their playstyle, now punishing overextension or even bullying the core out of their lane where the weakest side is. Game 1 was a statement made by Team Spirit for the top teams to look out for this MSC, as they can play really quickly in order to win the game. Team Spirit advances to the Upper Bracket against Homebois.
