The kings of Malaysian MLBB are back and stronger than ever as they enter MPL Malaysia Season 15 with a partnership with an international esports giant, OG Esports. The two time current champions of MPL MY, Selangor Red Giants OG Esports kicked us off in a commanding victory with their match against their rivals, Team Vamos. This marks the start of their season with yet another great win, trying to once again sweep the entire group stage without a single match loss against any team.

At the start of the show, we saw the CEO & COO of OG Esports, Dan Sanders and Silja Sundstein stop by at the stadium to check on SRG.OG for the first time. They wanted to know what it’s like in an MPL Arena full of fans and how their chosen partner team will fare against one of the strongest teams in MPL Malaysia. Boy were they in for a treat as SRG.OG gave them a spectacular performance they will never forget for their first game to watch ever.

SRG.OG VS TEAM VAMOS
The first game started with a normal meta draft, similar to how Philippine and Indonesian teams draft their games, except for a small pocket pick by SRG.OG’s Gold Laner, Innocent, using a Beatrix to counteract with Netspresko’s Granger. The game started heavily in Team Vamos’ favor as their rotations and team fights were so on point that we thought this was SRG.OG’s game to lose.
Team Vamos got most of the neutral objectives early, especially the first lord, pushing SRG.OG against the walls of their base. That didn’t stop SRG.OG’s carries, Innocent and Sekys, to try and contest for neutral objectives with winning disadvantageous team fights and even stealing the lord from Team Vamos’ clutches. Eventually, the exp and gold got even but one team fight decided the final outcome, with an amazing feat. At first it looked like SRG.OG lost the team fight but Innocent stepped up once again for SRG.OG to win the game with a Savage, killing every single Team Vamos member, on the very first game of MPL MY S15. How crazy good can you get, getting a Savage on the very first game?
On the second game however, SRG.OG just proved to us why they are still the kings of Malaysian MLBB, having an almost perfect game against the second strongest team in the league. Only SRG.OG’s EXP Laner, Kramm, died with his Gloo but SRG.OG’s chemistry is still there for them to win the first series of the tournament.

Selangor Red Giants OG Esports is locked in as early as day 1 of MPL MY S15 for them to defend their crown as the current MLBB Mid Season Cup champions at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh. They might have had a rough performance in the last few international events such as Snapdragon Pro Series APAC Challengers Finals but they are now back to their form and are hungrier than ever to go back to MSC 2025. SRG’s next match will be next week, April 25, 2025, 5:45 PM GMT+8 against DXSoul Esports to try and build yet another win streak in their regional tournament.
