MLBB Esports is all about tournament integrity and being fair to both teams no matter what. There are some unavoidable incidents though. With Moonton’s new tool, MLBB Time Rewind, these incidents can be reverted to a fairer state! Hitting rewind to fix problems without destabilising the whole game.

MLBB Esports Introduces Time Rewind

Starting with the Esports World Cup Mid-Season Cup and Woman’s Invitational events, it’ll be active in competitive games. It looks promising for keeping esports events fair. How exactly will the new feature work?

MLBB Time Rewind Feature Announced

This new tool is going to keep a fair environment, even if there’s a problem during the game. Essentially, the tool records the state of the game as it progresses. If all goes smoothly, it doesn’t come up. But if the game runs into a problem, this allows it to reset to the recorded state of the game right before it happened.

This tool will only be used in certain situations. We won’t see the game rewound every five minutes.

It’ll come into play for network loss and hardware issues. For example, losing connection or the hardware device malfunctioning. It would normally be a massive disadvantage from circumstances outside of a team’s control. A couple of seconds out of the match would be a big difference in the micro and macro gameplay, especially in the highest level of MLBB Esports.

Time Rewind can also come into play when a bug comes up. This is rare. But it can happen. The new MLBB Time Rewind feature will come into play if it’s determined that this is a real bug. The officials can review what happened thoroughly. Then, if they came to a conclusion that it’s a bug, we’ll use the Time Rewind.

The rules also state we’re going to see information about exact rewind timing withheld. So it doesn’t provide either team with an advantage after the reset.

Feature Getting Test Run at EWC

Tiger Xu, Global Head of Esports at MOONTON Games, said, “As MLBB Esports continues to grow, adapting our infrastructure is key to supporting fair competition. Time Rewind is still an initial step toward strengthening competitive integrity during unexpected disruptions. As this is the first time we’re introducing it internationally, we will closely monitor its performance and refine the tool to ensure the best experience for players and fans.”.

The debut of Time Rewind will happen at two of the biggest official MLBB esports tournaments for both men and the Women Invitational. It’s the kind of feature we hope we don’t actually see! A smoother ride would be a lot easier. But if we do run into any issues, then we’ll still a competitively fair tournament.
