The M7 World Championship is finally here, bringing together the best Mobile Legends: Bang Bang teams from across the globe in one of the most anticipated tournaments in mobile esports.
This year, it will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia this January 2026, and M7 promises world-class gameplays, passionate fans, and a festival atmosphere celebrating MLBB’s global community. This marks the seventh edition of the prestigious event. With a US $1,000,000 prize pool and revamped format, expectations are high for the event. Here’s everything you need to know before the action begins.
After housing the event during M4, the world championship returns to Indonesia—one of the most passionate regions for Mobile Legends. Jakarta is set to transform into the heart of MLBB esports as teams from every corner of the world gather to prove their dominance. Early rounds will take place in MPL Arena XO Hall, while the Knockout Stage and Grand Finals will be hosted at the iconic Tennis Indoor Stadium Senayan (GBK). The decision to bring the event back to Indonesia highlights the region’s long-standing influence in MLBB’s competitive scene and the sheer energy of its fanbase.

M7 introduces a comprehensive three-phase structure—Wild Card, Swiss Stage, and Knockout Stage—designed to ensure a balanced, exciting competition. This is similar to last year’s M6 World Championship held in Malaysia.
Eight teams from emerging regions will clash for limited spots in the main event. These squads are divided into two groups of four, battling in a round-robin format. The top teams then face off in cross-group best-of-five matches, with only the winners advancing.
This stage gives newer or developing MLBB regions a fair chance to challenge powerhouses from the MPL circuits. Expect fresh talent, bold drafts, and unpredictable upsets—hallmarks of the Wild Card journey.
The main event officially begins here. Sixteen teams compete under the Swiss system, where each match influences future pairings. Teams continue until they secure three wins (to qualify) or three losses (to be eliminated).
Early rounds are played in best-of-one matches, shifting to best-of-three as the stakes rise. This structure rewards consistency and adaptability, ensuring that only the most resilient squads make it through.
The top eight teams will move on to a double-elimination playoff bracket. Early series are best-of-three, moving to best-of-five for the upper and lower finals, and culminating in an epic best-of-seven Grand Final.
With US $1 million on the line, M7 carries one of the largest prize pools in MLBB history. But beyond the money, it’s the prestige that drives these teams. Each squad represents not only their region but also their entire fan community.
Winning M7 means etching your name alongside past champions—teams like Bren Esports, Blacklist International, AP Bren and ONIC—whose legacies continue to shape MLBB’s global identity. Will the Philippine region still reign supreme and continue their dynasty with their 6th consecutive win in the World Championship or will we finally see another team rise up to the challenge and declare themselves as new legends of the world.

Beyond the matches, M7 is shaping up to be a festival for fans. The M7 Carnival, running from January 23 – 25 at Stadion Madya GBK, will feature a massive fan event filled with entertainment, watch parties, and community experiences. Fans can enjoy live performances, cosplays, meet-and-greets with pro players and casters, and even join interactive mini-games and fan tournaments. Exclusive in-game rewards—including limited-edition skins and emotes—will be given to attendees and viewers during the event.
Tickets officially go on sale starting November 2, with a 20% early-bird discount until the end of the month. Given Indonesia’s massive MLBB fanbase, seats are expected to sell out quickly.
The M7 World Championship isn’t just another tournament—it’s a celebration of Mobile Legends’ evolution as a truly global esports title. Each edition has grown bigger and more inclusive, with new regions, new rivalries, and ever-higher production standards. Returning to Indonesia brings the story full circle. It’s where MLBB’s global rise began—and now, the world is coming back to where it all started.
As players, teams, and fans unite under one banner, M7 serves as a reminder of what makes MLBB special: its accessibility, its community, and its unbreakable spirit of competition. The M7 World Championship promises to be more than a showdown—it’s a global celebration of passion, pride, and perseverance. From the underdogs of the Wild Card to the giants of the Grand Finals, Jakarta is ready to witness history once again.
