Verdict on the Worlds 2021 Groups

Group A of the Worlds 2021 main event spells doom for Rogue. Facing DWG and FPX in the groups will be horrible for the LEC hopefuls and a dangerous Play-in opponent could seal their fate. Group B isn’t much better, T1 and EDward Gaming seem like obvious victors there. Elsewhere, Groups C and D seem relatively well-matched, but could definitely be spiced up by some Play-in opponents.

Meanwhile, in the play-ins, Group B will be a scary prospect for western favorites such as UoL and Cloud9. Because of the close level of skill between all the Group B teams, it should be a massacre. Group A, on the other hand, may just be a stomp for the LPL and LCK teams. Overall, a scary place for western teams in general.
