T1 Worlds Skins Just Dropped… and they might not be what people predicted

T1 Worlds Skins 2024 – The Unkillable Knights of the Crown

After nearly a year of waiting, the League community will finally be able to test out the skins that players hand-picked after lifting the trophy at the O2 Arena in London last year. Usually coming out by August, Riot Games took more time this year as the skins will be released on the live servers on September 10, the release date of Patch 25.18.

Which T1 skins were chosen for the fifth trophy?

Below are the confirmed champion choices for the five players:

  • Zeus — Gnar
  • Oner — Vi
  • Faker — Yone (and Sylas for earning the MVP award in the Grand Final)
  • Gumayusi — Varus
  • Keria — Pyke

The skin’s theme is based on the Worlds 2024 anthem, ‘Heavy is the Crown’ by Linkin Park. The T1 champions, also described as the “Unkillable Knights of the Crown” (with a reference to Faker’s nickname, the “Unkillable Demon King”), are showcased in dark armor style with crimson elements and animations that are tied to T1’s red branding. The theme is quite a strong contrast to the previous T1 skins, which usually featured more vivid colors.

As usual, each champion comes with special recall animations based on the players’ choices. The main highlight is Gumayusi’s recall, which includes the famous moment of him eating a croissant during the semifinals in Paris. Faker’s Prestige Sylas skin also caught the attention due to its berserker-like looks, a big contrast to other Prestige skins released before. Faker himself said the design was cool and that he hopes fans will like it.

The skins are currently available on the PBE for the hardcore fans who want to test them out. For others, they will have to wait another two weeks. After being teased for so long, will they be a success? There is only one way to find out.
