Italian jungler Zhao ‘Shad0w‘ Zhiqiang has officially joined CTBC Flying Oyster (CFO) for the upcoming 2026 LCP season. The player will be moving to the Asia-Pacific region after a strong year in the LPL on BiliBili Gaming, where the team won the LPL Championship and took part in Worlds 2025.
With this signing, the team has now officially signed three players for the coming season, with mid lane and the support role still to be filled.
After an incredibly successful year as the undisputed best team from the LCP and being the only team that took part at all three international tournaments of the calendar, CTBC Flying Oyster went through a tough offseason, which saw the team part ways with four players.
The jungle-mid duo of Yu ‘JunJia‘ Chun-Chia and Tsai ‘HongQ‘ Ming-Hong moved to JD Gaming while support player Ling ‘Kaiwing’ Kai Wing moved to South America to play for Vivo Keyd Stars. Top laner Shen ‘Driver’ Tsung-Hua also left the team, although he still has yet to find a new home.
Shad0w’s signing comes shortly after Hsu “Rest” Shih-Chieh re-signed with the team and the two will play alongside ADC Chiu ‘Doggo‘ Tzu-Chuan, who comes from a standout season. At the current moment, it’s unclear on who will be filling the remaining mid and support positions.
With the LCP signing, Shad0w is currently the only player in the world to have played across the LCP, the LPL, and the LEC.
Starting out as a rookie in Europe with MAD Lions (now MKOI), the jungler played in the LEC in 2020 and was immediately considered one of the top talents in his position. That being said, the player had a major downfall at Worlds, which led to MAD Lions getting eliminated in the play-in stage.
Since then, Shad0w left the LEC and played for the LPL up until this year, playing for LGD Gaming, Ninjas in Pyjamas, LNG Esports, FunPlus Phoenix, and BiliBili Gaming. The player is known for his team-focused gameplay and tendency to control the pace of the game through early-game pathing and skirmishing.
The new CFO roster is set to be completed over the next weeks, before the new season kickoffs off with the LCP Split 1, starting on January 16.
