MSI Support Power Rankings 2025

The support role has evolved a lot over the years. With a Season 15’s meta that is quite open but tends to favour engage champions in the early Fearless games, the role has become more flashy and provides a lot of room for clutch plays. Although the carry aspect is mostly reserved for the other four roles, the support role is a key player on the map. It acts as its metronome. Here are Hotspawn’s MSI Support Power Rankings in 2025.

MSI Support Power Rankings 2025

MSI Support Power Rankings
Rankings Player name Team
1 Keria T1
2 Kael Anyone’s Legend
3 Duro Gen.G
4 ON BiliBili Gaming
5 Alvaro Movistar KOI

#1 — T1 Keria – Untouchable at his prime

Keria has surely reached a level that no other support has ever reached at his prime, especially between 2022 and 2023. Since then, the player has experienced a slight drop in form, especially in 2024, mirroring his team’s performance. Yet, when it matters most, it is him who seems to be leading the way to his team’s success, as seen during the Knock Out Stage of Worlds last year. He repeated during the Road to MSI, with two outstanding performances. There is no doubt that if T1 maintains this level at MSI, it will have to go through him… And we’re banking on it.

At his best, Keria simply has all the qualities. Creative and aggressive on the map, he will never let the opponents breathe on the side and will use any vision gap to sneak in. That is why his Bard and Pyke are such threats. With Guma they are some of the strongest laners, Keria being currently the best in the world on range champions and lane bullies such as Karma or Elise. He is also creative in drafts and clutch in teamfights, always pushing forward and confident in his mechanics. His Rakan should be particularly feared, as it is his most played champion this year (10 games) and he only has one loss on it.

#2 — Anyone’s Legend Kael – The Engage King

There is another team that owes a lot to their support for reaching new heights this year, and that is Anyone’s Legend. Kael has proven himself to be far ahead of the other in the LPL this year, especially on the most meta champions of the moment: the engaged. There is also another champion that he does very well with: Renata Glasc (only one loss in seven games). But it is on the likes of Alistar, Rell, or even Neeko that Kael shines the most. With his creativity in flanks and his quickness to pull the trigger.

AL is mainly known for bringing the pace in the early game and contesting all objectives. This is mainly due to the Korean support’s synergy with Tarzan, as they are always on the same page and quickly take control of the map, always looking for the next opportunity. In addition to being the support with the highest average assists in the league (12.8), he is also the one with the least deaths among the players who have made it to playoffs (3)… A blessed sin for an LPL support.

#3 — Gen.G Duro – A Newcomer With A Lot Of Pressure

Like Kael, Duro will be making his international debut in Vancouver… but with a very different status. While the LPL champion has a lot of pressure on his shoulders, AL was far from the favourite this year, unlike Gen.G. They didn’t come off a perfect 18-0 season in the best league in the world, with the pressure of having to win MSI or risk a massive disappointment.

GEN Duro

Duro was not at the level his teammates expected and required during the LCK Cup, but he has quickly adapted since then, despite still having some issues, especially in lane with Ruler. Now one of the best in the world at his position, it’s mechanically that Duro impresses me the most. He’s always very precise in the interactions between champions, and he’s especially good on hookers like Nautilus and Blitzcrank.

#4 — Bilibili Gaming ON – Not in the best shape but…

International events are his playgrounds. With Elk, they are far from having experienced their best overall performance this year. ON had many ups and downs, with periods where he was repeatedly caught out. Too often disconnected from the rest of his team, especially in vision control phases, he is the main reason for many of BLG’s losses this year.

That said, these are two very clutch players who know how to step up their game in the big moments. And ON has not lost any of that. Still mechanically very solid – especially on Rell and Rakan – he has not lost any of his lane presence. Very aggressive, he is probably the best in the world in this regard with Keria, and especially when he has the counter pick advantage. He has not lost on Karma and Neeko this season, in 13 combined games.

#5 — Movistar KOI Alvaro – Can he challenge the other top players in the MSI Support Power Rankings?

If there is one support attending MSI that can be considered in the same tier as the ones on this list, it’s Alvaro. First, because last year – for his first international experience at Worlds – he already made a very good impression, proving that the pressure, the stakes and the difference in level didn’t affect him that much. Alvaro is above all a monster of consistency since he joined the LEC last year.

He is also one of the main architects of his team’s trophy in the Spring, as his relationship with Elyoya in controlling the map reached new heights. But he is also an extremely clutch player, and his jungler and coach both agreed that this is his greatest quality in their first MSI press conference . Finally, he has nothing to envy the best in the world mechanically on engage champions. While the level that MKOI will show in Vancouver is quite uncertain, I am convinced that he will be up to the challenge.
