Here are all the latest changes coming to the next update in League of Legends, Patch 25.21.
With Worlds around the corner, Riot released the official patch notes for the tournament, Patch 25.20. While it didn’t come with ground-breaking changes like it used to happen in previous years, the dev team still came with a fair amount of champion changes, hoping to create shifts in both normal and the professional scene.
While we wait to see how the new update will impact the meta, game designer Spideraxe already leaked some planned tweaks to the Doran starting items, as well as a keystone rune nerf in the Resolve tree. On paper, the passive looks like slight nerfs, although it increases or improves its utility in specific scenarios or matchup. For example, Doran’s Blade will have a lower healing value (3% to 2.5%), but it will also apply to AoE and pet damage, making it more effective on non-spam attacking users. While we wait for the full preview to be released, you can find the number changes of the leaked changes in the sections below.
No champion changes leaked as of yet.
Doran’s Blade
Doran’s Ring
Doran’s Shield
Second Wind
Considering we only have some starting item changes, it’s tough to make an analysis on how the meta will shape up. Based on the numbers, the starting items are going to be slightly weaker compared to how they are now, even though skillful players can still get nearly the same value when using Doran’s Blade or Doran’s Ring.
According to the official patch schedule, the League of Legends Patch 25.20 will go live on October 22, 2025.
