Here are all the latest changes coming to the next update in League of Legends, Patch 25.21.
With Worlds around the corner, Riot released the official patch notes for the tournament, Patch 25.20. While it didn’t come with ground-breaking changes like it used to happen in previous years, the dev team still came with a fair amount of champion changes, hoping to create shifts in both normal and the professional scene.
The new patch is coming with a long series of change,s mainly looking at specific underperforming and overperforming champions from solo queue. Additionally, starting items are also having a series of changes, with the goal of making them slightly less powerful but equally versatile across different types of champions. Find out our preview and breakdown in the sections below.
Bard
Diana
Dr. Mundo

Graves
Gwen
Kalista

Second Wind
Considering the full list of changes, the main changes we are looking at are the nerfs to Diana, Qiyana, Quinn, and Yunara.
While all champions are getting slightly nerfed, it should just be enough to push them away from the top-tier territory: they are still expected to be completely viable champions.
The other big change is the revert of Gwen and the MR changes to Graves. The latter is getting quite a good buff and we might expect him to be much more prominent in solo queue. The Gwen changes, on the other hand, should make her a little be stronger. Riot Phroxzon admitted the changes didn’t turn out to be as intended so the reverts should be an overall buff for the champion.
According to the official patch schedule, the League of Legends Patch 25.21 will go live on October 22, 2025.
