The League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) has brought back the team emotes ahead of the season-ending Summer Finals. Players will be able to purchase them in-game at a price of 350 RP, the equivalent of €2.

LEC is bringing back in-Game team emotes!

LEC Team Emotes – A new wave has arrived!

This is the second batch, coming after the ones released in the second half of last year. In 2024, 30% of emote sales went directly to the teams, meaning that each LEC team’s emote made around €0.7 per sale. Revealed on September 22nd, 2025, the social media post revealed that emotes will be ‘coming out soon’.

The sales of each team are usually tied to how strong and attached the fanbase is. According to a report by Sheep, Karmine Corp, one of the most popular teams in the league, ended up selling the highest number of emotes with the “Jinx FF” emote. The French team decided to use the same champion this year, as she burst out laughing while pointing at a loss streak.

Among this year’s collection, the most creative ones are G2’s “burger flipping” emote, Team Heretics’ Draven using BrokenBlade’s iconic pose, and SK’s “Chill Pingu” emote.

Interestingly enough, Team BDS and NAVI’s emotes do not feature the organization’s branding in emoji. The Ukrainian org has a crying Ezreal while Team BDS went for Draven petting a dog.

Team Emotes is a financial opportunity for teams

Team emotes have been one of the latest additions from Riot Games to bring more revenue streams to teams in the Tier 1 leagues. They are a part of a larger economic policy brought by the publisher to improve organizations’ financial stability while creating new incentives for organizations to improve their community engagement.

Emotes are also expected to be released in other regions, with several teams across LTA North and South, such as FlyQuest, having already shown their designs. That said, nothing has been announced for the LCK, LPL, or LCP at the moment.
