With the LEC currently in Madrid for the first Roadtrip of the 2025 season, Riot Games announced the LEC Finals location for the end-of-season summer playoffs.

Riot Games unveils 2025 LEC Finals Location

LEC Finals Location announced – the league will be returning to Madrid in September

From September 26 to 28, the top teams in the LEC will be clashing for a spot at Worlds in front of a crowd in Madrid, Spain, at the Caja Mágica. The league will have the three-day event move offline to celebrate the end of the LEC season.

Caja Mágica is a multi-purpose stadium used for various activities, including the Madrid Open tennis tournament. It currently has three stadiums, with the following capacities (the exact venue used is yet to be announced):

  • Estadio Manolo Santana – 12,442
  • Estadio Arantxa Sánchez Vicario – 2,923
  • Estadio 3 – 1,772

Unlike previous seasons, the entire weekend will feature LEC matches, as the EMEA Masters will no longer be part of the event like it used to be on previous editions. This means that Worlds qualification will be on the line starting from the first match on Friday. The top three teams at the end of the Summer Playoffs will be the representatives at the upcoming League of Legends 2025 World Championship, which will take place in China across Beijing, Shanghai, and Chengdu.

For those looking to attend offline, be aware that the language on-site will be Spanish, as it’s often done in most events. Riot Games also confirmed there will be dedicated fan club ticket allocations for several LEC teams, so make sure to check that out if there is something lined up.

The LEC XPO makes its return

As it’s often done during the LEC Finals events, Riot Games also brought back the LEC XPO, which will take place at the Plaza de España on September 27 and 28. There will be activities from the LEC partners and the chance to meet your favorite teams and players. No ticket is needed for the LEC XPO. More details will be revealed in the coming weeks.

The increasing popularity of offline events

The EMEA League has been criticized in the past for only having one single road trip at the end of the season, with most of the fans being unable to experience the League of Legends action live, as most of the matches were played at the Riot Games studio in Berlin, Germany.

Aside from the LEC Finals, the league has been increasing the number of offline events this year, with two LEC Road Trips during the Spring split. The first one is currently taking place in Madrid and is hosted by OverActive Media‘s Movistar KOI.

The next one will be the one hosted by the French team Karmine Corp in their home venue in Evry, France, during the last week of the Spring regular season. The featured teams will be SK, VIT, G2, and home favorite KC.
