It’s one last update for the season: this is everything you need to know about the League of Legends Patch Notes 25.24b.
Before the last of the winter break, Riot Games released one last, small update for the season, Patch 25.24b. Going live on December 16, the patch will mainly look to tune down some of the stronger champions before the new 2026 season hits, targeting some of the outperforming junglers as well as giving some love to a few champions that haven’t seen much presence lately.
Riot Games designer Riot Phroxzon explained that the changes are aimed at balancing the jungle ecosystem better while making sure they don’t “undercut the power level of the champions in their original roles”. The main outliers from the previous update were Aatrox, Qiyana, and Sylas, as all three of them will have lowered monster modifiers, which should affect their overall clear speed.
Additionally, the game devs are also hitting Zaahen, who has become one of the strongest champions for those who have mastered him. Aside from lowering a couple of his AD ratios, Riot is also reducing his Q recast duration. On the buffs’ side, three champions will get some love: Lux, who gets increased AP ratios on her passive and Q; Tahm Kench, also receiving a passive HP ratio increase; and Volibear, who gets another compensation buff for his previous nerf from Patch 25.22.
