Here is everything you need to know about the latest update, League of Legends Patch 26.4. More champions changes have been announced for this patch, with a total of 32 planned for this update.
According to game designer Riot Phroxzon, the meta seems to be a lot more stable compared to the start of the season.
The previous patch introduced major shifts to the jungle meta, with several champion changes and some minor changes to how Faelights work. The Rioter said that they will have to wait one more update before drawing conclusions on these.
In the meanwhile, the overall sentiment about the meta seems to be in line with what Riot aimed to achieve, which was increasing the overall top and bot agency. Nonetheless, the team is open to hearing what could be changed going forward.

With that in mind, Riot is looking to shift the meta ahead of the first global tournament of the year, First Stand, which is confirmed to take place on Patch 26.5. As a result, the game devs are mainly working on tweaking champions, buffing up some of the forgotten picks while tuning down some of the overperforming outliers.
According to the official patch schedule, Patch 26.4 is set to reach the live servers on February 19, 2026. It will be released on a Thursday.
Given there are no number changes announced right now, it’s hard to make a clear call on how the meta will shift. The main targeted roles seem to be jungle, mid, and ADC, so expect major shifts in these.
